Mine is fairly simple...it's a quote from "Paris: Je 'taime." I'm kind of obsessed with Paris, well, pretty much all things French (ask whiks, she saw my house! LOL). Someday, I hope to live there.

Until then, I just pretend. :)

Both of my signatures are of native origin. The first one is the quote on the need to be your brother's keeper. This is from a book, The Man Died, by Wole Soyinka, a prison memoir that details his experiences during the Nigerian civil war. Soyinka is a Nobel laureate, and a member of my ethnic group. Also, his first cousin is the late Fela Kuti, a famous Nigerian musician who had the story of his life featured on Broadway , I think last year.

The second signature is a proverb in my language that deals with loss and what one's attitude should be towards it. The English translation fails to capture it succinctly. The essence of the proverb is the idea that a loss to the Yoruba people like insurance means it reinstates you back to the position you were prior to the loss, but unlike insurance also gives you the opportunity to build something more valuable from the ashes.

It's more of a personal meaning to me. There were moments in my life that I was a pretty angry person and very few instances would I "black out" and wind up hurting someone. Coming to my senses, people would tell me that my eyes were practically dead red and my veins were protruding and my movements were erratic and akin to a wild animal.

I guess you can say, my instinct drive of rage sort of took over. Hence the quote from Nietzsche.

Mine is totally original, I made it up myself and used it in a conversation on the Forum not long after I joined, Serendipity said it was good so it became my Signature.

I picked mine just because its funny and so damn true. Bi-racial kids are usually gorgeous and I'm biased towards the half black half white ones :D

My beautiful children are evidence to this rule, I find even the ugliest matching of parents in this category can produce beautiful kids together.
My kids had the advantage of non-ugly parents but I've seen plenty of pretty kids that don't:eek:

Yo the same thing happen to my boy. His son has dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes it's fricking weird. His great grand mother was white though but his dad was really dark like me
