There are really so many things to do with them and I had no idea til he showed me. Youtube has numerous suggestions in other vids.

Bump-ish! I'm getting back into exercising again... anyone else have routines? If so, what's a typical week for you? For me, a typical week: Monday- Leg Extension Leg Curl Hip adductor and abductor Abs curl Walking Lunges Seated Row Tuesday- 45 minutes worth of cardio, whatever that may be. Usually end up spending 2 hours in the pool, exercising yet chatting with friends/playing ball Wednesday- Chest Press Shoulder Press Lat Pull down Arm Curl Triceps Abs Curl Push ups (to exhaustion) *Sometimes swimming as well Thursday- Same as Tuesday + Monday's workout. Friday- Zumba for an hour Weekend is lazy time
Ladies! What's your routine?................................... i too am a dancer, and featured performer though not dancing as much of late. i however still maintain my routine daily. it is a simple one that i have used for five years. i do 1000 crunches, and run five miles on the beach every morning of my life. immediately after my run, i sit watching the ocean, and meditate for one hour. is one of my most enjoyed times of my day too, is so nice. my gf's lana, and stephana of whom live with me join me of this each morning too except meditation they do not. i also like to rollerblade around the beach, and city also when i am able. cause my work is changing lots now, i am not having more time for this. i miss it much cause i visit so many people, and some shop owners we have known for lots of years. we sit for the cuban coffee many times when we do this too, is fun. alexis
Wow, I'm happy to see there are other bellydancers in here Count me in! These days, my workouts consist mostly of bellydance practices, at least 4 times a week, from anywhere between 2 and 4 hours a day (I have a show coming up in 3 weeks!!). Bellydancing is quite the workout! You get cardio from all the shimmy, especially with drum solos, and you get a good ab and thigh workout too because you have to isolate all parts of your body to get the moves right. Aww, I just love bellydancing, could talk about it for hours lol. When I'm not bellydancing, I have a lot of exercice DVDs at home, most of all are dance workouts and I also have the Jillian Michaels series...Ouch, she is a tough trainer but I find her really motivating. When I get the chance I love all kinds of outdoor sports too, everything that has to do with nature is sure to get me moving without even realising I'm exercising
:smt038 Good stuff. My culture's dancing is very similar. Greek women are raised on the Tsiftiteli dance from little, it's very revered and rooted in Belly-dancing. Any Greek function/dance/wedding/party/tavern, this is basically what you see from the female guests...it's just so normal and natural to me. Its' a great workout~ [HDYT]AdR7wnUGxBI[/HDYT] *(ps: He's basically singing about the dance, and telling the women to dance the beautiful tsiftiteli
I guess I do lol :smt053 as I've been bellydancing for more than 5 years now, and I also dance Salsa, Reggaeton, and other latin dances so yes, a lot of hip shaking for me When I went to Barbados, I also learned to dance Soca...Wow that dance is so hot and the guy I danced with there sure had a lot of rhythm to his hips too... Oh you're right Bliss, the Tsiftitelli does have a lot of similarities with Bellydance from what I saw in your video...The music is really beautiful :smt049
Cool as heck Alinoa, whenever I see those dances on television, I'm always fascinated watching the women move their hips. Not hard to tell I have a thing for women who can move their hips rhythmically.
So so true, I am of greek decent and practically in every home video that my parents ever took was at a dance, wedding etc and me dancing the tsifteteli hehe Ok my workout routine is I do 45-60mins cardio 5 days a week. add the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred 6 days a week and I have 1-2 PT sessions a week.
