This is nothing new. Very rarely would you come across a diamond in a rough. They are not the brightest of the bunch when it comes to answering questions like that. Ironically, some of them are aspiring themselves into fields of science.

Also side note on Ms Colorado. She and her mom are homeless aftr they were evicted from their home. Her dad died of cancer years ago and her mom has health problems that caused them to lose their home several months ago. She is actually quite inspiring. In spite of all that she graduated magna cum laude from college. Video here:

Terrific woman. Despite all adversity, she still managed to get some things done. Actually, it would be so nice to know how she'll fair in the coming weeks. With that much publicity, she probably has some publicity working for her.

 

The first time I saw her story, I though to myself ..........I would probably have just given up. Maybe not. She is inspirational to others. Forget a fluff beauty pageant she is truly a beautiful person.

 

I notice that a lot of women who believed in evolution were from no bible states.

Yes but church is the central figure in a lot of people lives. They follow the mass thinking because that is where they get a lot of their info.

 

Are we to imply by the title of this post, that these women doubting the theory of evolution is evidence of their lack of intelligence?

 

That's what I'm proposing yes

 

A friend of mine from HS was in a high level pageant. Her parents were advised to hire a coach to "coach" her in current events so she didn't look like an idiot with an unexpected question. She worked hard and her "homework" was reading mags like US News and World and a host of other. She needed the scholarship money as her family was very hard off. She wasn't doing it to look good and wear pretty dresses.

 

i don't follow pagents but i did see a piece that channel 7 did on her and her mother...she was working at saks when it closed which i am sure was just another pitfall for her...i am really impressed by her determination:smt045

 

You know, a lot of educated people have doubts about the theory of evolution. It's far from a hard fact.

 

Between the two it seems like a more plausable theory. What would you propose?

I don't watch the pageant, every now and then I've seen the high light on CNN, if I decide to watch it (which will never happen), it won't be for their answers, tho I know some of the beauty queens are very smart and college grads but to me the show is just an eye candy brought by no other than the chauvinist Trump.
