Alright, so I thought about posting this in the Nerdz Lounge but I didn't want to fill up too much space with stuff that no one else might not really care about. Anyway, has anyone else ever watched the show 'Hitman Reborn'? It's about a kid named Tsuna who is selected to become the next leader of a local mafia group, who is then trained by what seems to be a toddler who happens to be an experienced affiliate of the mafia. The first 10 or so episodes are a little wacky, but once you get through those the plot really picks up. I have recently finished the show and I have to say that it has become my favorite... after DBZ that is.
Here's a nice anime music video for Hitman Reborn featuring 30 Seconds to Mars 'This is War'.
I think I made a thread about anime but the nerdz thread took all of my people. Clearly by my avatar, you can see that I am an anime fan. My recommendation for you are Monster(must see) Claymore(Hot chicks fighting but it was left unfinished) Black lagoon(very diverse in characters) I am not a big fan of animes that concentrate on kids though.
Sounds wacky. Like Shin Chan status. Looks cool. Black Lagoon, Gantz, GTO, Beck and Naruto are my shit.
There really haven't been any good anime in such a long time. The ones I've enjoyed were: 1. Paranoia Agent 2. Dragon Ball Z 3. Lupin III 4. Death Note 5. Sailor Moon series 6. Gantz 7. Trinity Blood 8. Hellsing (both Ultimate and original) 9. Gundam Wing 10. G Gundam 11. FullMetal Alchemist (and Brotherhood) 12. Yu Yu Hakusho 13. Bleach 14. High School of the Dead 15. Samurai Champloo 16. Cowboy Bebop 17. Trigun And some others I can't think of right now.
Hmm haven't heard of Monster or Black lagoon, but I've seen a couple from Claymore episodes. I'll probably read up on the other two you mentioned though. I do like to sample and see what's out there.
Gantz is where the people who died were trapped in some weird world or universe, right? If so that first episode kind of freaked me out lol. Though I noticed a live action movie was made of it. Now what I saw of Naruto was pretty good, that wacky kid could really get down when he needed to.
How did you like High School of the Dead? I saw a commercial or something for that and it looked pretty interesting. I think I saw it around the time I was getting geared up to watch the Walking Dead series.
www.animetake.com There are so many anime shows from that website. Now, with spring anime winding down, fast approaching summer anime will begin in July. Boy, I'm going to miss lots of good Spring Anime shows! My favorite anime is Dog Days.
Thanks for the site, it's good to have another resource for free anime. I sometimes use: crunchyroll.com which also has an app for mobile phones that I've used.
fun anime from google search: Set in Italy, Gunslinger Girl follows the exploits of the Social Welfare Agency (often referred to as simply "the Agency"), ostensibly a charitable institution sponsored by the Italian government. While the Agency professes to aid the rehabilitation of the physically injured, it is actually a military organization specializing in counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism. It is composed of two independent branches: Public Safety, its surveillance and intelligence-gathering division, and Special Ops, the anti-terrorist division. Special Ops is itself divided into Sections 1 and 2, the latter of which employs young girls fitted with cybernetic implants as agents. The implants, which consist of synthesized muscles and carbon fiber frames, result in heightened strength and reflexes as well as high resilience to damage and pain. Each girl is paired with a male trainer, or "handler", and together they are referred to as a fratello — Italian for "siblings". The handler is responsible for the training, welfare and field performance of his charge, and is free to use whatever methods he considers suitable. While these methods vary according to the handler, a common part of each girl's regimen is brainwashing called "conditioning", which produces a deadly assassin with unquestioning loyalty to her handler but also limits her life span. Each fratello exhibits a unique dynamic. Most of the handlers have police or military backgrounds and were recruited directly into Section 2. Most also chose their own cyborgs from a list of candidates, though some appear to have been assigned a cyborg. The Social Welfare Agency primarily concerns itself with dealing with the Padania Republic Faction, an organization seeking an independent northern Italy through acts of terrorism and bribery
Cool, okay. Seems like one of those potential meaty anime shows that have a little more to it than flashy fights and busty girls.
