I'd like to thank everyone who's above stereotyping and using an individual experience (called individual for a reason) to negatively judge other people they don't know because of a single thing they have in common with someone they might know. I hope that makes sense. Kind of like how Playboy called us trash, probably because he knows a woman and a man in prison who are in a relationship who are trash so it means to him that everyone else with that much in common (a girl with a guy who's in prison) are the same. Or maybe a girl left him for a guy in prison or a girl rejected him because she was with a guy in prison and he's still salty about it, who knows. I'd like to also thank everyone who has a better sense of me on here and who took up for me and showed support. It's almost pointless for me to respond because you guys said it all already. I've had a busy last couple of days. Working and errands and having a shitty WiFi signal. So I appreciate it. Iggy, why do you think I said it was a BS charge? Duh! And I also think it depends on the judge and the prosecutor and the state. Plus, he used to get in fights in prison. In prison, sometimes you have no choice but to fight. Many of those men are dangerous and, with a burglary charge, he's lumped with a lot of men who are never going to get out and who don't have anything to lose in the first place because they're already serving 50 years, 80 years, life, etc. When someone like that comes at you, you either fight or die. And I think 10 years, (having to serve 5) is actually pretty common for burglary. You and I are in agreement that he didn't deserve to be charged with that, but that's what happened. It's not always so cut and dried, like, "You do this, then you serve this many years" etc. And, with where we live, I would be surprised if his race had no bearing on anything. And, like I said, he's been fighting it (the charge) and has lost time due to fighting, and should be out before 5 years. So, with all that you should be able to use your brain and realize, even though it says "burglary" and he's lost time for fighting, he's still going to get out sooner than 5 years. And he could get on here and explain all the legal crap if he wants when he's out. I'm retarded when it comes to that. He's tried to explain it to me a million times like what he's doing to get out sooner and all the lawyer speak explaining everything and it's all gibberish to me and I tell him nevermind and just tell me when he'll be back home, LoL. But, I just said that and I don't really know if he'll be interested in visiting this place, especially with all the ignorant and immature ass folks we have on here. I might not even be on here once he gets out except maybe once in a blue moon because I'll be busy if you know what I mean :smt112 so don't worry Mikey. But we'll see what happens. Anyway, I'd like to try to catch up on some other threads and other online things. Plus, I've already said all I can say in this thread, I believe.
No I don't think you're white, just that you're a bit on the sociopathic side like certain ignorant & arrogant segments of the white male population who think they run everything. And it's not due to your opinions, its more so your attitude & how you interact with people here, especially the women. Just an observation from an old man is all. Keep on doing you, though.
There's nothing worse than a black man who mindlessly buys into all the negative stereotypes and bullshit pumped out about his own race. A man goes to jail for something with no prior criminal history and you already have him pegged as a repeat lifetime hardcore criminal. I'm willing to bet that if he were a white guy you would be more than willing to believe that he had seen the error of his ways & would never again set foot in jail. SMDH.
the answer to that question could have prevented a lot of bullshit here we wish that you put that sentence first, as an opener or something, so that we'd know it was alright with u to ignore the rest of the paragraph
Yup. I think what the naysayers on here are forgetting here is that Britty isn't an idiot. She can judge character and who she will and won't choose to spend her life with. Not everyone starts out life with all the breaks or a silver spoon but they learn to make their way. Sometimes we fall down but we are not condemned for life because of it. I am sure Britty's man will do good and he has her love and support.
Aww, I feel special you read all that shit! That really doesn't happen often. Thanks TonyWony! And I will! I have no reason to think it'd happen again, well, I didn't have any reason to think it'd happen in the first place either. Well, since you asked so nice.... Although, I think it's one of those things you can't know for sure until it actually happens. I think it's a risk we all take. Such is life. Things happen you never thought would, things you never thought you'd have to prepare yourself for or face come to bite a chunk out of your ass. You love people, you lose people. People grow apart, change, lose touch, pass away. I love this man with all that is me. But I love myself as well. I think sometimes you have to do what would be best for you individually. To be selfish, if that's even really what it would be. We were all given this life to live it and it would be the hardest thing I'd ever have to do to tell him goodbye that it's hard for me to even type it. But, I don't believe I'd "put my life on hold" or "serve his prison sentence with him" again if he got locked up again and I'm sure he wouldn't let me either. He'd want me to be happy too. For the record, he didn't ask me to wait for him with this and gets on my ass all the time to make sure I don't get in any kind of weird funk because of it. Damn, your question sucks, heh. That's the best I can answer it. As far as what we're going through now, I really do feel like he got screwed, and I want to have his back and I want to keep the future we've always planned to share together. One year or less to go.
