I can tell you're a remarkable mother. But you have to consider your parents when they've raised you as well. I was raised by a wonderful mother and father and yet they allowed me to watch R rated movies and they didn't really care if I watched adult movies when I was young. How come? They assumed the position that I, along with the rest of the family, aren't affected by what's been shown on TV. And guess what? I'm a rational, healthy individual. There's a bigger element to consider and it's called education. Teaching your children about what's shown in the media is also crucial. Also, given that you're a mom with a lot of morals instilled in you, I'm sure you'll be able to educate your kid with pretty much everything that he needs to know in life.
Yep. I feel your pain, Liquid Swords, but that's one of the perils that comes with the time-space compression that the internet brings. You can't shield ANYTHING from anyone at any time.
It'd be easier if the internet hasn't evolved so much. But reality bites us in the ass hard and we have to find a way to overcome all that without resorting to old world methods to shield anything. Talking is key and more so, influence is the absolute.
Not really news, they're just enforcing a rule that's already in place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watershed_(television) For actual content, US tv seemed more censored than ours tbh, didn't hear a single un-censored swearword on tv while there and saw no boobies at all.
Too late UK, you are already dying from within. The U.S. is behind you, you are not alone. Death of the West is a matter of time.
