The dream act was unfair and I am glad it did not pass. Just a bunch of elite folks who don't give a dam about people like my mother who sat there and studied to pass the immigration test.
Still a bad bill. They should have not allowed those kids in the schools at all. The parents should have been honest from the get go.
they are citzens by law and by birth they were born here, so their citzens that's how our system works and they just happen to have illegal parents but that doesnt make them inherently bad people
If they are citizens then why do you need the bill. You are legally here. You aren't a badperson because your prents are not following the rules. Your parents are the ones doing bad by not following the rules. It is unfair for my mom to follow the rules and to think your parents should get a fly by. If you are born here then I thnk you should be a citizen but not your parents, they have to get in the back of the line. This means going back to their country and starting over.
yeah but if your read the bill in its entirity you would know that they have 2 options join the miltary or get an education and everyone knows having a more educated population is nothing but a success and besides i no problems with them joining the service if they want to its a good way to do some good
I am ok with the joining the military part but not the education. We have too many people who can follow the rules that can get in. It is unfair to those people.
In a December 2010 report, the Congressional Budget Office and the Joint Committee on Taxation estimated that the November 30th, 2010 version of the dream act would "reduce deficits by about $1.4 billion over the 2011-2020 period and increase government revenues by $2.3 billion over the next 10 years."[7] Moreover, a recent UCLA study estimates that between $1.4 trillion and $3.6 trillion in taxable income would be generated for the economy over a 40 year period based upon estimates ranging between 825,000 and 2.1 million potential DREAM Act beneficiaries successfully obtaining legal status through the legislation.
Seems it does not get much peep from the media is because there are not too many Latinos in Alabama as compaired to Arizona.

There are a lot of things that can be done to lower the debt. However, not doing the right thing is unacceptable. People have to be able to follow the rules and be morally right. It isn't fair to skip people in line just for a few kick backs.
