great article. that goes hand in hand with the other thread about education . I started and I dont remember the name of it. anyway, the PISA gave a test and it revealed the US was at par or below in science , reading and math. the rankings were like 17, 14 and 25. Im not sure which rank fit which category but as you can see they arent good. it went on to say that if america increased its scores by 25 points that the US economy will increase by 41 trillion dollars in 25-50 years.

your article supports that. I wonder when our leaders stop slashing the education budget because the more you do the worst america will get.

we generally dont value education that highly in this country seeing as how we pay grade school teachers which are foundation for everything in life relatively low salaries compared to other countries been like this for years

and we are quick to lay them off and say they are paid too much when a budget crisis happens and lastly we love pounding on the teachers when we dont get the test results desired. they dont hold parents accountable for low test scores and they dont hold the leaders accountable for the budget crisis. the teachers didnt do the budget
