LOL. it seems to me your workout really depends on what you are trying to achieve. for people who havent been to a trainer you can get confusing theories all the time

the workout they are talking about seems to be for people who just want to be fit. there is a book called the new rules of weightlifting. one thing it stated that people who say lift everyother day 3days a week is outdated. it went on to say lift every three days so if you lift on monday then lift on thursday for that muscle (something like that). so I assuming if you do a full body work out then you shouldnt be in the gym for another 3 days.

if it aint broke, dont fix it

    :p

working out every other day, 3 days a week has always helped my gains. Once you start to plateau, then you need to look at other options. Mind you I was hitting 340lbs on the bench, without going over 225lbs in body weight a while ago (before I started BJJ), so it's not like you're getting information from an non-credible source.

BJJ provides me with lots of cardio work and muscle endurance stuff, so I'm still in the process of getting used to doing 70-80 hindu pushups straight, 100 situps (with feet in air) etc. I've been slacking on just focusing on strength exercises, so my bench hasn't went any higher than that over the months.

    Question:
I have been told that if you are strict enough in your form to not go beyond 90 degrees in your movements, when working with bar or dumbbells,........... that you can save your joints from tendinitis later on....Do you subscribe to this thinking ?

I wouldnt doubt that too much. especially when you are doing squats and leg press'. You dont want to lock you legs. as far as the others I dont know.
