I wonder if he was packing a gun of his own, considering the robber was armed. How did he 'subdue' an armed person without one?

If that is the same story that I watched on TV, then I say the guy is wrong. I beleive he is a marine with 5-6 tours to his belt, tho I salute his good citizenary and courage, I think his move was wrong. He was endangering his kids. On the video that I saw, the gun man was pointing gun in his direction & the guy was moving around lots of chairs trying to shield his kids. His back was completely turned and the shooter was aiming gun his direction continously. Any of the movement could have set of the robber and he could have shot the father or the kids, bad move. He should have put the kids behind his chair immediately and should have sat down and study the gun man's movement. Again his movment inside the bank could have set of the robber and it could have been a shoot out and he, including his kids and other bank customers could have been killed. But what he did after the gun man left the bank with the cash, following him with his van and blocking him of until the cops got there is much better strategy than what he did inside the bank. They say the most dangerous weapon in the world; A man with nothing left to lose. The gunman could have went on killing spree. LoL, folks were saying he is Hawaiian decent, lmao. The guy looks a BM with some asian in him, Hawaiian, hahahahaha, some white folks be trippin' some time. Anyhoo, since the story ended in a positive note so it is a plus for IR, as the guy is a marine with relatively good looking White wife, who protected his kids, recovered the bank money and got the perpetrator, so it's a win.
He was a soldier, marine's have the famous blood-colored background with stripes on their dress uniforms but yeah, i do also think it was suspect to move stuff around WHILE the armed perp is looking at you, lol. that'll make a nervous mothafucka empty a clip if you're unfortunate.
yeah it was kick ass. they had him demonstrate how he took the gun away from the robber. it was pretty kick ass. he is a huge dude too.
