So since I came to this God forsaken place I've been looking for a good place to eat. One of my fellow soldiers. Same rank, slim boddied, polynesian, (from American Samoa) beautiful smile, amazing brown skin, 5"8, looooooooooooong legs, a solid 9 on the "Man-she-is-fine" scale, took me to a really GOOD Japanese resturant.

Know we are just "cool" nothing nefarious but still is hot as hell to be walking with a fine chick. ya ever see a fine woman, and an ugly add dude and ya wonder "How in the hell"...

    ...well I'm that dude.

    She's like this....

You look at her and think NO WAY YOU COULD BE IN THE ARMY...Airforce maybe...Navy Possibly...Army. NO WAY...

    I digress

...any event. The dinner was great. But the whole dinner...

...SHE EATS WITH HER MOUTH OPEN! TALKS WITH FOOD IN HER MOUTH! And it drove me crazy. I couldn't even look at her. I kept looking around, over her head, looking at my plate.

    geeeez

She calls me this morning and says "Hey you want to go to lunch"

umm...."nahhhh, I have some stuff to take care off"......"Was I bad company"..."No of course not, I'm just busy"

    ...eek!

Am I the onlyone who finds this distrubing???

I remember a first blind date for dinner many years ago with a physician. She spoke with her mouth open, didn't know how to properly use her flatware to cut her steak and actually pulled the whole steak onto the table. Whether good or bad, I never went on another date with that lady.

Pet peeve, and something I'm all over my kids about...!!! I have a couple of friends who eat with their mouth open and make these noises as well that drives me insane....I do tell them to shut their mouths (their children also)

Shall I reenact the sound of mastication?

First, Ymra, you underestimate yourself - you are a highly suitable match for that pretty lady and I'm sure you made a striking entrance.

However, the bad table manners would be a deal-breaker (eventually) for me. If you told her the problem, she'd probably get pissed off anyway, but you could try it, and hope she changes her ways (which I doubt)...

Poor table manners to me are a sign of other sloppy traits in an individual, and smack of a lack of self-awareness and common decorum (which is becoming increasingly less common these days).

    Noooooooooooooo fucking shocking concept.

Man, you are sharp! How could I have ever gotten this far without you!

I kept waiting for something to fly out of her mouth....as I watched while the food was turned to mush in her mouth.

    ughhh!

Did it look like feeding time at the zoo?

I mean she's a very and beautiful woman with no table manners. At some point, we can be guilty of that.

    Here's the REENACTMENT OF MASTICATION.

Maybe you would be doing her a favor to let her in on how bad it looks. Maybe the next guy will thank you.

Chewing with the mouth open is disgusting. I can't stand it when people are smacking their food or chewing gum. It looks & sounds gross & it drives me crazy. I couldn't date someone who did that crap.

My boss does that crap all the time at work. There are times he throws together his own food with tons of garlic & onion & noodles & other things I can't identify. He makes me want to never try Korean food. He piles so much raw onion on everything he eats, I don't know how he tastes anything else. I have actually seen him cook the noodles & eat them right out of the pot. He slurps them, chews with his mouth open & lets the food run down his chin onto his shirt. There have also been a couple of times he's eaten at my desk when he comes to the store & he always leaves a mess...onions, ketchup, mustard & everything is always sticky from the soda he splatters everywhere. He's disgusting. He also smacks on nicotine gum quite often. He even took his gum out so he could eat & stuck in on my desk & left it there...I found it when I put my elbow on the desk & it stuck to me!!! :vom: When he does these things (& all the other stupid shit he does), I want to kill him. These nasty habits do reflect on how gross he is. His hygiene is horrible & I don't know how his wife can stand it.

Please, Lord...send me a new boss!!

Well, I remember someone saying it's because she caters to his ego. That was about ugly women with goodlooking men. It was some comedian who said it. I don't know if it was Eddie Murphy or Martin Lawrence or some other dude altogether. But anyway, I've read that "like attracts like" and I believe that. When people seem not to be on the same level of beauty and good looks physically I think it's probably because one of them doesn't know how beautiful they are or because one doesn't know how homely they are. That deep down, they're more equal/alike than meets the eye. Maybe one feels as beautiful as the other actually is or one feels as ugly as the other actually is. Plus, beauty is also in the eye of the beholder and some people just aren't that shallow. Can't forget that. But that's just my little opinion. Trying not to get on the subject of races and stereotypes regarding this topic. Because that's a dead horse we've beat to death over and over and over and over and over and over.

P.S. And as far as the pictures go, I don't think that either of you are really far off from each other in the looks department. JMO

Wow, if she's that hot I might have to learn to look away while she's chewing...lol. It's kind of gross, but I'm guilty of falling short on this, albeit only when I'm alone, so no one knows. Hahaha... But then again, little things like that have a funny way of growing in significance until they drive you bananas with irritation. Go with your gut, Ymra.

if you liked her for more than just her lack of dinner table manners then i would tell her...there are always going to be little irritating things that people do and if two people are open and can communicate then they should be able to express them...perhaps there is something about you that is obnoxious...or you could tell her about something that you did that drove your wife crazy...then ask her did your ex ever get annoyed by any of your habits? admitting that we have our own odd behavior opens makes another person not feel so targeted...she might not even realize she does it:rolleyes:

  19. I have a HUGE problem with mouth noises. People who eat with their mouths open annoy the fucking crap out me. The sound makes me angry like nothing else in this world can. Like I want to kill somebody. Dogs licking themselves/their lips has the same effect. I seriously turn in to a lunatic when I hear these sounds - it is too much for me to handle. If I ever accidentally make a mouth noise myself, I actually annoy myself and get angry. I even wonder if I can have kids for this reason, because they seem to be bad with it. I can handle most anything - but mouth noises turn me into a raging lunatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEAL BREAKER!

id cut her a pass since she was a physician. you have to realize how much work they do and how much they sacrificed to get where they are. A little rudeness would be acceptable to me. Nobody's perfect:eek:
