While appearing on ESPN Radio Friday morning Scottie Pippen toss this out, "Michael Jordan is probably the greatest scorer to ever play the game. I may go so far as saying LeBron James may be the greatest player to ever play the game."
His fans are pissed of at him and Scottie tweeted this "for all of you who don't know, I played the game, you keep watching and cheering".

I wonder why his Airness and his fans are thinking?

I'm going to need Pippen to define GREATEST PLAYER. One thing Jordan was that LeBron is not is a leader. He may be in the future, but right now he still has the mind of a child in a man's body. LeBron is a SUPERSTAR in his own right...

...but until he does what Jordan has done they need to stop the comparison. Meh...they did the same thing with Kobe. Every new superstar is THE NEXT JORDAN....

Someone's a little sour about Jordan not giving him more passes.

Pippin is an idiot, just because he played doesn't mean he knows more then a spectator.

I would reserve any future comparisons to MJ until "what's-his-name" wins at least 4 championships.

I bet the Chicago fans are not enjoying that comment that much, given that the Heat just beat the Bulls in the championships. Well, I can't hoop (I'm only 6'0") so I'll keep my trap shut. LOL

Or at least play one playoff game with the flu and win and score 40 pts while he's at it.

Calm down B-ball fans, he said, MAY be, not that he's the best without any reservation. I think that Scottie, like many people see the physicality and attributes that Le Bron brings to the game. He brings more than anyone else in history. Le Bron has the size and strength to go inside strong or with touch around the rim. His once questioned jump shot is improving as is witnessed by his playoff performance thus far. He's also an incredible passer, better than Jordon. Now, we have to wait and see if he can keep it up year after year to earn the comparison. Just my humble opinion.

Chuck's a hater sometimes. He predicted that Chicago, a young team that didn't match up that well to the Heat would win the series with them. We know that outcome.

Tracy McGrady was just as talented just lazy. Truthfully you could argue other players are and were better than Jordan based on pressumed talent but who else has done what he's done?

I hear you loud and clear but let's be real too. Le Bron has demonstrated that same kind of hunger as well, and he's always working to improve. Witness his improved jump shot as I stated and three point shooting. If he didn't have that fire to win at all costs, he could have stayed in Ohio and been paid a LOT more. He chose winning over money and we know how important that is, wink wink.

Which makes him a lesser player in my eyes. Mike would have stayed his ass Cleveland. When Chicago sucked he didn't bounce to the Lakers or the Celtics.

Yea, and he wouldn't be known as the icon that he is today.

I respect your perspective but consider this. Chicago knew that in order to win that had to build a team around Jordan. They spent the money and got the players to compliment Jordan and become a championship team. By the way, I lived in Chicago at the time, had seats near court-side and cheered them on. I'm not hating on Jordan. I have no way of know what Jordan would have done if faced with the same situation as Le Bron, and respectfully, anything more is just conjecture.

On the other hand, despite many years and a lot of frustrations on Le Bron's part, Cleveland did NOTHING. I applaud his move, and the reasons that he made it. IMO, he has vindicated himself by achieving chance to play in the world championship. Now, only time will tell.

    I TOTALLY agree.

Look at what happened to Chicago when Micheal left those two years. Even though they didn't win as much, they still did respectably well.

Now Cleveland went from first to WORST when LeBron left. That means Cleveland was NOT bringing any good support players to help LeBron. Micheal had Scottie Pippen and a few others. LeBron had NOONE.

As I type this right now, the Heat are in the finals and are one up on Dallas. I hope LeBron wins this one and many more.

Good luck LeBron, you deserve it.
