Well, that's sort of the attitude people have here methinks. But, to clarify, you have to separate Obama the Politician and Obama the Person. Basically, he's a likable person and people approve of him highly on a personal level. Basically, you can disagree with his policies, but if you hate him as a person, then chances are...you might have to explain why.
exactly. I dont get how people cant distinguish between the person and the politics. I think bush came across as a likeable person but his decision making perplexed me. One thing was no child left behind (no need to talk about the wars. that goes without discussing. that is very pellucid to everyone that was a fuck up). No child left behind had good intentions but it seems to be counter productive
Great statement, Terrastar. My parents glue themselves to that station 24/7. I stopped taking it seriously (not like I ever did, but whatever) when the demise of Anna Nicole Smith was all they could talk about for weeks (may she rest in peace).
Bush is a likable person. And I can't really see him as a racist either. He's just...addle-brained. I never agreed with a lot of a his policies, even the Bush Tax Cuts, but personally he would be someone I'd enjoy hanging out with and torture with my overly-perverse stories about Texans and horses.
:smt042 And my parents were glued, GLUED I tell you. In fact, it's so bad that the other day they were at my sister's house babysitting while we went out to dinner, and it turned out they had spent the WHOLE TWO HOURS trying to get the TV to work JUST so they could watch Fox. It's an illness, I swear.
There's this condition called PWGS or Pretty White Girl Syndrome. Anytime we're dealing with missing persons, a lot of news stations grow obnoxiously asinine with their over coverage of a certain person. Jon Bennett Ramsey and Natalee Holloway being the main perpetrators. There are countless missing people and yet those cases are central to "the American public".
Yeah that bugs me a lot. There could be a black child missing and it will never be heard of. Nobody will be able to convince me that Fox is not a racist network, although I know other networks do it as well.
