Depending on the area they come from, skin colour varies. Also there are a lot of mixed race aboriginal people, so obviously they are going to be lighter.
Aboriginal people i know refer to themselves as black.

So do I, fantastic people, people I consider great friends. But we live very different lives and that's just a fact of life.

I've never met an Aboriginal person that doesn't like to be referred to as black. They refer to themselves as "black fellas". But you know, there's a range of skin tones just as there are with black americans. And the young Aboriginal people I worked with do look up to black americans as role models. And it's not just rappers et al, it's basketballers etc and even Obama.

Agree, most youngins identify with blk american coz hip-hop, sport & the cool Obama. But other than that do they see themselves as part of the African diaspora. I thought even genetically they were a bit different, some even look more like a sirlankans, etc... I have to do more reading b4 I put my foot in my mouth.

Whiks & mama, I dunno. I remember reading something in a history book a while ago that the blacks who descended from African (i.e Americans, islanders, Euro, etc..) are different than the Aboriginals.

It's a repetitive thing seen through the centuries. Of course you always have your... ahem... "Good White people" but "Good white people" essentially means the ones who sit back and indirectly benefit from white supremacy.

Those ones know they benefit from it too and have no interest in stopping it but they pretend to dislike it to make themselves seem "different from the bad ones". If there were so many "Good white people" then why has this behavior not stopped?

I used to be a Christian until I was around 13 years old. I was raised a Jehova's Witness and as I sat in the Kingdom Hall one day I realized something I had never noticed about their publications. All the drawings of these "prophets" and shit are white. The only pictures of people who look like me are depicted as being bad during modern times. EVERYBODY good is white. White Jesus is white, the angels are white, pics of Jesus' father Jehova are white, prophets are white etc...

Only time they showed a black person was when they were in some kind of bad situation. It reminds me of the slave language I speak in that everything black is bad and everything white has an innocent, good or pure connotation.

But everything good is white. The worst thing you can find is a "White Lie" but even that is supposed to have the intent of being better than a "Black lie".

The thing that woke me the fuck up was when I realized this religion my parents and other older people had pumped in to me before I could even remember, includes these ofays being rewarded when they die. Now if I as a brotha goes to "heaven" when I die, how am I being rewarded by being placed in the same place as the people who fucked with me mercilessly while I was alive? Where's the reward in that Lol?

After that, other bits and pieces started coming together. Anywho...

Recently I was lookin at Michael Jackson, I used to idolize him when I was younger. Some of my most early memories of my parents, especially my dad, involves us listening to and looking at Michael Jackson and enjoying ourselves.

I realized that when Mike was the white man's nigger :smt079 he was the greatest entertainer of all time. It's when he started talking about the prejudice from people like Tommy Motolla and had lyrics like "kick me, kike me" and "No one really cares about us", he became "Wacko Jacko" :smt031. Remember, Mike bleached himself and got countless plastic surgeries to look like that same white man, so if he's beginning to draw the line with these pedophiles then he's gone through some real shit.

Look at this video and look at the other one that was broadcast in Mexico. After I saw this video about 5 times in a row with these piece of shit cave apes in black face mockin Aborigines and their struggle, I can honestly and wholeheartedly now say I hate all white people.

Do you think is racist? If not, then there was nothing racist about those white dudes and their video. I've seen black comedians make jokes about white people, yet I never hear anyone accuse them of being racist. I've experienced real racism first hand from whites, Asians, Latinos, and Indians. When I see people get bent all out of shape over a joke I have shake head. This is clear indication that these people really don't know what the world is like.

Most Aboriginal people I've met and known are wonderful. My best friend from highschool is an amazing woman and someone I admire greatly. She's so damn successful, and she deserves it more than anyone. (Google her, her 'pen name/stage name' is Miss Koori Love ).

And yes, she proudly calls herself black.

I think you are failing to see something here. This is not a like for like comparison.

The histories of the people being teased here are very different. Aboriginal people have had a terrible history. So it’s natural to feel sympathy when they are subjected to abuse.

I am not saying aboriginals are saints, in many cases they don’t help themselves.
