Do these 2 Black male NY'ers have a case against Apple?

I feel for the two guys, because as "hoody and baggy' as their dress was, they had every right to patronize the store. Complete humiliation.

So two thoughts - are they suing for being profiled, or for it being brought to their attention in the manner it was?
And were there other Black people in the store, whom were dressed differently?

When someone say, in a high-end Madison Ave store stares down their nose at you, or follows you around the store making you feel unwelcome, aren't they profiling too? And not just race, but class, too? Heck, even the local dingy Hair and Beauty Supply store racial profile...as distressing as that is!

This is going to be an interesting case, if it isn't settled.

 

What's interesting is a lot of stores have a dress code in NYC so I'm not surprised but what fucks them is someone dumb enough to say "you know the drill"

Man, kinda turns me off from visiting the city. I've been several times, but upstate to places like Delhi,Buffalo, etc.

 

Dude don't get it twisted the city is beautiful and such a fun place to hang out especially if you have the money to indulge in everything. I think what most people seem to over look is that a lot of times when this bs happens is when these dudse dress like fucking crimnals. No, if this situation is true, then apple needs to be made an example of to show companies that this behavior is wrong, and if you participate in this sort of behavior, you will face grave consequences. Make sure this guy gets as much as he can to put the fear into these companies to stop discriminating.

 

if a man can get over a million dollars for racist phone calls by a debt collector, these brothas can sue for good money after being mistreated by racists IN PERSON. That carries more effect imo, since the physical assertion of that shit really interferes with your safety, which is very important. Brazen displays of this stuff used to lead to violence and beatings, remember.

 

If I were Apple I would settle as soon as possible and fire those clowns.
