Tuition costs need to be lowered in the near future. This would be a win-win situation for every race. The question is, what can we do to improve education, and reduce college debt when you have graduated?
I don't believe white people have faced any kind of racism. To me seems a little far fetched. I never seen it happen in my life.
Props for this post Xboxgirl! White people may be victims of racism, but not to its worst extent. No sensible person can deny the historical aspect of race relations and how this history affects modern society. Historically, simply being born black (non-white to be exact) was a political and economic handicap in America and Europe. Being born white was a political and economic plus because most people in dominant postions in society were (and still are) white. If you are white then you have a slight advantage. The difference in economic and political power between non-whites and whites has declined in modern times, but it still is an issue. Sorry I had to get all professorial lol.

63 yo black male and by definition of the word"racist" i have seen few blacks that are racist. black bigots yes but hardly racist. now, you go look up the word "racist" and ask yourself do you really know many blacks that are like that.
In America, where white people are the majority AND hold the power there is no fucking way they face racism, they many face a few discriminitory incidents in their lives due to race, but they sure as hell don't have it ingrained in them. BTW reverse racist is an oxymoron, racism is racism.

Saying reverse racism is the highest form of racism on a white person's part because it implies "How dare you be racist against me. I'm the only one with the ability to racist towards you (insert racial slur)"
For me, racism has always meant not just having power, but using that power to negatively affect the lives of others. Black Americans have never been in that position of power and have not used subjugation, laws, police power and violence to maintain that power. White America has never owned slavery or the results of slavery. In efforts to soothe their conscious, they would rather believe that Blacks are "racist" as they try to compare the Black Panther Party or the NAACP to hate groups like the KKK. Reverse discrimination has become yet another attempt by White Americans to turn back the limited gains toward the efforts in the 70's to create more opportunities for university admission, employment and promotional and business entry. It's become a tool to create a feeling among the average white citizen that Black Americans are somehow gaining an unfair advantage, rather than the reality of trying to bring about parity in a society that is far from colorblind.
Yeah, I would agree with that. It implies that there's some sort of natural racial hierarchy and those on the bottom have no right to act or speak in a racist manner against those on the top. I used to practice labor and employment law. The provisions against racial discrimination are written in a neutral manner, so if I were in fact discriminated against based on my race, even though I am white, I could bring a claim for that. But, any time a potential client actually used the term "reverse discrimination," I found a reason to decline representation.
It was always a temporary career for me, so I quit to do what I really wanted to do. I'm now a professor.
That's amazing. I always thought that was my calling. I always wanted to just write books and teach but the market is so oversaturated that getting a job as teacher a 1st grade teacher would be tough with a Phd
Thank you! Teaching and writing books does rock, I won't lie. At least, most of the time it rocks. You're not wrong about the job market, though. In my field it's really rough. I have a lot of friends who are unemployed or marginally employed as adjunct faculty and I know that there's an element of luck in my being where I am.
The query was not "Can blacks be racist" but rather, do whites face "racism"... ...black man, ACTIVE in the black community, married to a non-black woman. Trust me the Negro can be as racist as any other race. But that is not the question that was presented....
