Sadly there are a lot of Australians who are racist arseholes when it comes to Aboriginals. Not just white Australians though. A lot of cultures here say shit about Aboriginals. It's disgusting. But, that's the way it is in most countries. Someone is always pissing on someone else.

 

I don't want to be an asshole about this, but a bunch of descendants of criminals shipped from Great Britain probably need to feel so superior to the rest. But you know what else? The aboriginals actually contributed a lot to Australian's history. But you think those idiotic cretins know about that? No. Even bushpigs are of higher standards than those racist limericks!

 

There were more free settlers than convicts, due to the gold rush. But, most people think only convicts came here. :???:

Only 2.5 % of Aussie pop. is Aborigine? So if my math is okay,
you got roughly about 22 mil total pop. of OZ, so 2.5% Aborigine means~ a little over half a million. I did not know their number is that small, I thought they were like 5 %. Did the stolen generation did numbers on them?

Apparantely a disproportinate amount of aborigines act like this.

 

That video is from the Northern Territory. There are big problems up there with alcohol and paint sniffing, but not all Aboriginal people act like that. I wouldn't even say a majority of Aboriginal people act like that, not at all.

I think there are low numbers due to several factors. They were massively outnumbered to begin with, when the foreigners arrived (not just white people). And then you add all the evil that was done to them and it makes it worse. So sad.

 

A very similar problem (alcohol) exists with the Native Americans on the Reservations. What was done to them was similar to the Aborigines. Depression and Unemployment was high. They've become much more self reliant due to their profitable Casino ownings, which is tremendous for them.
