ha! I'm not really a decent photographer. I'm just learning...and making a lil pocket change in the process.

I read once that a PROFESSIONAL photographer is simply someone who can take a good picture at anytime.

I'm not there yet.

 

You seem to forget that I'm an artist - my whole life is concerned with aesthetics and impressions from the first glance at a work, in whatever medium it may be.

That being said, kudos to you for being brave enough to start a new hobby AND make money off of it, while understanding not every venture is going to be a success to every viewer. Clients are particularly hard to please when it's involving their loved ones... Keep going.

 

I understand but you have to look at a subject and read what you see, that really is the purpose of photography. The image, the capture, telling a story, conveying a message.

...but making up a message I think misses the mark.

Ken rockwell talked about the difference between painter and photographers what we see vs what painters see.

 

they look wooden & it makes even looking at the photos uncomfortable as you can see that they are uncomfortable.

The setting and the light etc is great - don't feel the models, you might as well have used manikins.

Should start with this, the other deal was some bullshit.

 

Love the third one, but she needs to knock it off with the page3 girl faces, neck up she looks like she thinks she's posing naked and even if she was it'd be a bit much. The middle shot especially, if she was naked but for the shoes(although a nice strappy stiletto would be better), I'd love it. Her arse looks fantastic in that shot actually.

Your photography is beautiful, but your models are way too aware of the camera and their own eyes, so they come off incredibly INTENSE/posed in their facial expressions.

 

Damn shorty is at least worth half a check a month of phone time. Nice kid.

You are 100% correct. But I'm working with new people.....I'll work with her again soon. Before then we will sit down and look over the pictures and go over what she need to work on. In her defense this was a very very very first shoot.

Oh...and I'd love to see her naked as well.....sure would!!
