In a close count, Alvin Brown has been announced as Jacksonville's newly-elected mayor. Brown is the first African-American man to be elected mayor in Jacksonville, and the first Democrat to be elected since 1991. This is great news! I'm interested to see whether or not his attempts to govern will be hampered by the losing faction, assuming they have a presence in city council.
How is this GOOD news ?? Have you read his stance on state issues ? They are all vague with no objective plan. He reminds me of O'bama. ALL RHETORIC, NO INTELLIGENCE and probably FULL of LIES. Why do people continue to fall into this trap of electing officials that give good speeches with no clear plan on how to address problems and concerns. Personally I think Jacksonville is SCREWED. Time will tell if I'm wrong or not.
