"Nevermind started a quick fad that went dead after a few years"??? Do you have any idea how ignorant you look saying that?! Sweet Jesus.
Elementary my lovely Karma For someone that don't see the clear connections and developments in music - it takes very little effort researching the subject to understand the effects and influences Grunge had, and as Nirvana busted it open even though they weren't the first Grunge band, a lot of credit have to be made to them. And thank you for the kind compliment. :smt054
I didn't say those artist sound like them, I said they were influenced by them. Which they all admitted to idiot. How am I ignorant? There's nothing Nirvana has done in terms of music that Radiohead hasn't. Anyone with actual knowledge of music can tell you so.
I think had Aaliyah was still alive, Beyonce wouldn't be as hyped up as she is now...and I'm not hating on her.
Not saying which album was more important, but Ok Computer >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> nothing >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nevermind.
His own words "When I write a song the lyrics are the least important thing" Need I say more? The thing about Kurt Cobain is that he blew his head off, so he's sacred ground, people want to make him a genius at any cost, he was a decent musician but he was no genius and lyrics obviously weren't his strong suit.
Someone here gets it. Cobain admitted that lyrics were nothing and the music always came first. Cobain also admitted that his music(which came first) was basically a rip off of The Pixies. Cobain also admitted that Nevermind was one dimensional. Part of the reason he was upset was because he didn't think the band deserved the credit and attention it was getting. Even with all this people act as if Cobain is a music god, die hard Nirvana fans are hilarious.
