Books will do also. There are plenty of readers on this forum (no pun intended). Any topics of interest are fine since everyone here has varied interests and like. And photos too. Someone will more than likely have similar interests.
Glad to know reading is still considered nerdy :-D. Just wish wannabe's would stop copping the glasses though - that's annoying. You walk up to someone rocking Proclaimers specs and say "Hey you're smart! I'm smart too!!.... Oh wait a second.... Never mind."
Pretty good thus far. My only complaint is his clothing. Wish they would make it a little more present day as they did with both Eccleston's and Tennant's versions.
Am I missing something by not watching dr.who? I feel like it is a good show but just can't bring my self to watch it. Is it likes sliders?
If you're a sci-fi geek then it's something you might like. But it helps if you know the history & have watched some of the older shows from it's 30 plus years run, otherwise you miss some of the significants & dynamics of certain things especially when it come to some of the older characters/villians/monsters he encounters that have carried over from the original run.
Heck yes. Can't believe we're just a little over a year away from seeing this kind of stuff on the big screen.

pffft, If they would stick to having better scripts and comics than yes but so far every thing has been a let down but spiderman(spiderman doesn't biologically make webbing). Do you know how tall wolverine is? so much wrong. They killed off cyclops!!! How do you even consider going around venom? So much to talk about. so little time. How much you want to bet Ironman gets more time than Captain America because of the big names.
Well if anything Fox Studios is the studio that released the X-men and Wolverine movies. Being the forerunners to successful comic book movies they didn't really realize the pandora's box that they were opening. Now it is catching up with them as later released movies don't quite line up with the comics. Sony studios released the Spider-Man movies. The producer(s) of the most recent one (Spider-Man 3), was supposed to be the last one so they urged the director to shove everything, everyone and their mother into the movie. Far as Iron Man getting more screen time than Captain America, well it is possible. Since Iron Man was one of the first if not the first from Marvel Studios and was mostly successful because it showed a very different kind of hero for the big screen audiences to enjoy. So far Marvel seems to be trying to stick more to the comics with their Marvel Studios, but I don't care either way at this point if Iron Man were to out shine Cap. some. The fact that they are attempting an cinematic universe with the characters is pretty enterprising and it seems that it has paid off so far. We'll see how well it does with The Avengers.
So now it makes sense about why spiderman was so good and the rest sucked so bad. The reason I mentioned venom was because the director or someone had it really in for venom. It wouldn't matter how much time was given. They wouldn't have put him in. When I spoke of iron man and cap, I was talking about the stardom of downing over the guy who played Cap. That is going to play a big issue in the avengers. The only reason these movies are doing so good is due to the name recognition of the comic book heroes and well done cgi. The writing has not been as good as I expect from the tv shows(I'm saying this under the full knowledge that the tv shows have more than 2 hours to build). I will say this. Maybe under disney, they will be able to do better. I wasn't disappointed by the cartoon series.(sure it is no Justice league)
This was a pretty good storyline. Back when I was a kid and watched the original series when it would come on the local PBS station I always thought it would be cool to see a Dalek vs Cybermen story, so the first time I saw this episode when it aired I was like "Oh Shit!!"
What's going on here? I thought they did this weekly.I'm not complaining or anything. I just want to not be disappointed tomorrow if they don't have a new episode.
They do. These are the remaining episodes for Season 1 that have not aired yet in the US, but will air the week after the Thor movie is released. I think someone in Canada downloaded the episodes on youtube because they got all of the season released there. The last three episodes of the season are Thor centric in nature with is why they have been holding off airing the remaining episodes of the season until after the week of the Thor movie's released.
