You know that feeling that one would get if an elevator were to just drop at the highest floor spontaneously. At some point, you are weightless but you know gravity will eventually catch up. That's sort of the feeling I am talking about. Being helpless and knowing you can't do a thing about it.

yea weightless but I don't think that maybe have been the proper word to use.

I recall an event where I was seating on the train and that particular section jumped the track. It was up for a short period but it caught me off guard. I then realized oh crap it has to come back down. It maybe the surprise or the helplessness of the event.

That sounds similar to an issue I have. I used to get motion sick very easily when I was a kid & I still have some anxiety about getting it now. Even the thought of that that sudden sense of kinda being lifted & then that sensation of free falling is freaky as hell to me. Elevators, riding over a bump or through a dip in the road while in a vehicle, the sharp rise of coming onto a bridge & the sharp drop of leaving the bridge. It is a very helpless feeling & I can't stand it.

OMG!! Escalators! They scare the fucking shit out of me for some reason. Especially going down. I tried it once and screamed bloody murder, totally embarrassed, I will never step foot on or try one again, I'll use the stairs or an elevator.

The hardest part of escalators is getting on and off.

Yeah, that's no fun either. The first (and last) time I stepped on one, it was going down and I swear I was going to fall forward which is when I let out that scream and grabbed and held onto my friend for dear life. It was very vertigo-y. It made me feel all dizzy and light-headed and that weightless floaty spinning helpless powerless feeling. I think I went blind for a few seconds too, well everything went blurry anyway or just didn't seem to register in my brain. Now I avoid escalators like the plague and start to feel really anxious when I just see one.
