White Women who are down with black culture but not black men?

Discussion in 'Conversations Between White Women and Black Men' started by Esoterik Dreadz, May 1, 2011.

  1. Seriously wassup with that? The other night me and my boys were out at club here in NY and saw some white girls throwing it down to the "Dougie" dance. Anyway, i go over to one of 'em to say wassup and we're talking and chilling for awhile, good convo and i ask her for her number. She then tells me point blank that she doesn't date black guys and takes off with some dude i could only describe as Eminem's long lost brother. One of my boy tells me it's not that uncommon. He's dealt with it before, whether it's a chick who is into jazz or hiphop or basketball but just not into brothas. Anyone ever notice this or dealt with it? Ladies, feel free to chime in too!

What does basketball have to do with anything? Basketball wasn't even invented by blacks. And why does someone who isn't black should have to be romantically involved with blacks just because they like the culture?

I remember reading once that white girls who are into hip hip, rap etc, are the least likely to date black men.

Now after getting all off into the "would you date a white girl that acts black" thread this just sounds weird I don't think I ever come across this kind of girl before!!!

This event occurs alot in Pittsburgh...I just don't understand it. It's like women dating butch dikes, why not just go for the real deal? I guess many of these women were raised in family's where dating a black man is an absolute no no so they do not want to be disowned.

I personally have a best friend who is like that. She will come with me to this club (which is mainly all blacks) to listen to the music and dance.. She teaches hip hop dance so she likes to go out and put her moves into action. She attracks a lot of the black mens attention but she would never date a black man as she is just not attracted to them... I can totally understand that as I am solely attracted to black men, I guess you could say she and I have the same interests just in different shades when it comes to men... ;p

In my friends case it isn't that at all, I guess what I want to point out is that it isn't necessarily something 'deep' that a girl isn't interested in dating black men,,, it could just be what she is attracted to, as simple as that.

Now I feel the need to say.,,,,,,, I LOVE BLACK MEN.... :D

That's definitely a fair point that you raise. We all have individual tastes that influence us.

I'm black, I enjoy some RnB and Hip-Hop, but I don't date sistas. My attraction is to white women when it comes to what turns me on in a woman.

But another aspect is some of these women are in a shell, they might be concerned with perceptions of them by the wider community in which they are a part of on a daily basis.

So while it is cool to get down in the clubs and all that, when the sun rises they don't want any hassles about their personal life for being involved with a black dude in their larger white community they come from.

Some white women are just like that, especially if they are younger and easily influenced by peers. It takes maturity to come to grips with your true self in many cases.

I sort of can dig it. To me its just a preference. I can't think of a personal example, but I have a co-worker that has a list of favorite rappers and knows all their songs but says she is simply not attracted to black men...

...not really surprised....we live in American with the dominant white causation culture, and yet that are non-white who are not attracted to white people. No real shocker.
