UK: Black soccer player Geohaghon recieving racist threats

In the United Kingdom, Port Vale defender Exodus Geohaghon unable to train after racist threats made against him by his own fans. The centre-back has been forced to avoid training with his team-mates after a group of supporters racially abused him and threatened his life after a game.



Port Vale defender Exodus Geohaghon has revealed that he is effectively being forced out of the club by a group of supporters who have threatened his life and racially abused him. The 26-year-old has been at home in Birmingham since March after the PFA advised him to stay away from training due to the threats made by sections of his own fans.

Geohaghon told The Mirror: "My life is too important to be put at risk, especially when fans say to your face: 'I'm gonna kill you, you n****r c***.' I was told there was a group of 20-30 fans waiting for me after the game. Nobody knows who they are and when it comes to training the training ground is easily accessible. So as no measures have been put in place since then the PFA have told me to stay at home."
