Thing is a lot of people go about with this notion of being an authority on specific issues but that does not necessarily mean one should defer to them. Wall street was an "authority" on financial matters right?

 

You're sort of misunderstanding the context altogether. By authority, swirlman actually studied political science and has excelled in it. Plus he WORKS with politicians as his day job, so he knows the ins and outs on how politics work. That's what I'm referring to.

And to answer your question, yes..they are the authority when it comes to financial matters, so are economists, accountants, and others who specialize in money matters.

 

I get it clearly wise when someone says authority it means the person has studied extensively on that subject and has probably written books to that effect but what i am saying is no one is under any obligation to defer to that authority at all costs? you know why? they are fallible human beings and can get it wrong. And to the bolded part i asked that question because despite being an authority didnt they fail spectacularly causing heartache not only to people in america but to most of the world?

 

I really don't where you're going with this, but this pretty much detracted from the original topic relating to Trump. But for the sake of continuing this, you've proven my point all along when it comes to business people such as Trump.

 

Trump sucks, he looks like an angry Justin Beiber caught on fire. He is the most selfish media whore out there.
