True, it would not be easy to prove...except in the case of a surveillance camera. Then one would be able to view the brute force of his fist upon her face and determine whether or not he would have stopped under his own power before killing her.

 

Her line of protection was breached due to the fact that the baliffs failed to keep a watchful eye. Their job is to protect the safety of the court officials such as the judge,and the people who are observers as well as the plantiff and the defendant.


Because they failed, she was beaten badly. She actually has grounds for a lawsuit against the state.

 

Doubtful. He assaulted her and they did their job and stopped it.

 

For what it counts, I don't think he should get over 10 years. a bit excessive indeed.

 

I don't get the manipulation part either. No one can manipulate me without my permission. I get people can be charmed but the second you threaten my physical or mental well being then you have no place in my life. No exceptions my will for self preservation trumps all.

 

Yes, they stopped it...but failed to prevent it. That was their job also.

A baliff's job is help maintain order in the courtroom not absolute protection they aren't secret service besides they are usually posted by exits and near the Judge. Those are the primary protection points which look like about 20 to 30 ft away from where the defendant and prosecutuion sit. And the defendant is usually seated like five feet apart from the victim so he has enough time and distance to get to her and hit her a couple of times before the baliffs get to him. Not to mention that guy was huge and it wouldn't take much effort for him to do real damage to her.

 

So, because you don't get it, it's automatically an invalid point?

These people that are abusers are so good at manipulating others that you don't even know you're being manipulated until you're so deep under the water that you can't pull yourself out. Once they've got you where they want you, there's almost no escape.

And of course, they prey on certain types of people...the kind of people with good hearts who are more likely to want to help others. Teachers, nurses, etc. are commonly the victims of domestic violence.

As far as I'm concerned, that guy deserves to have his balls roasted over a spit while still attached to his body while he is suspended and chained in a jail cell for the rest of his life....and THAT would be MERCIFUL.

This kinda reminds me of what happened to Tracy Thurman back in the day. The police failed to protect her in a domestic violence dispute and she ended up being paralyzed by her attacker. Damn shame.:smt009

 

Please understand that I am speaking from the viewpoint of my state...Florida. Maybe the bailiffs in your state are nothing more than glorified babysitters for the judge. But here in the state of Florida, they carry guns and are trained to kill. We just recently had a bailiff kill a man in the courtroom a few months ago. As far as the entrance and exits that you mentioned, we use deputy sheriffs for those positions in our county courtroom. The baliffs are posted between the observers, defendant and victim, and judge and other court officer. Truly, this was carelessness on the part of security. There is simply no excuse for this...no matter how one looks at it.

Exactly! This is why I believe an attempted murder charge should be added because this man would have beaten her to death had the bailiffs not gotten to him in time.

 

yeah really that is some fucked up backward ass shit if they are doing some shit like that. They throw him in jail and then make it hard for him to get a job. if it takes him a year to get a job then he will keep going in and out of jail then he will never be able to pay child support because most business will not hire you if you have a record and child support shows up on your credit report. let a woman keep the kids away from the father and nothing will happen. so nothing the state is being done for the father to the kids

 

Is it becoming more acceptable for men to beat women to death? It seems to be an epidemic in which everyday there seems to be more and more cases of men beating women. There was a time in which a man would not put his hands on a woman. Is the rise of the woman responsible for this trend? That man should have his ass beaten. Maybe someone in jail will do that for him.

 

Its common that when the economy takes a hit crime rises. I suspect domestic violence would be most prevelant since not having money puts extreme stress on a relationship. Things that wouldn't normally bother someone becomes a lot more serious.

 

Stories like this make my stomach crawl, whatever the circumstances as a man you don't resort to that behavior and therefore the full fury of the law should be dealt to him.

On another note my Uncle who lived in Texas after graduating from Texas A&M ended up having to pay $800 per month to a woman he had a relationship with, come to find out the child was not his, she lied and told him it was of course. When he went to the courts in Texas they claimed he had formed a bond with the child and have to keep paying. The kid is 15 now and he is still paying that amount ever since the child was small.

My uncle had married his new wife when all this came to light. As a man I don't know how I would feel about having to give $800 a month to a woman who lied to me about the child being mine when it wasn't.

Some crazy shit out here in the world, deceitful and conniving stuff.

 

Real talk kid. Two words PATERNITY TEST. I bet your uncle is a "nice" guy too.

LOL, its reached that point where you have to take your newborn infant to get tested to make sure its yours, damn.

The ironic thing is it was the wife of my uncle that raised it to him that the child might not be his, he had never thought along those lines.

He relocated to Ohio recently for a new job, but Texas is making sure he will still be paying every last cent.

He has never told the child about the situation with him and the mother. So the child still thinks he is the father. Its crazy out there in the real world.
