Put the haterade down fam. Who's better than Jay Z? Just because the man has found a way to be achieve mass appeal doesn't mean he's not a rapper. Who do you think is a rapper?

 

Eminem for starters. Lupe Fiasco, Kanye, Nas, T.I. Hell....I'll put B.O.B before Jazy.

I'm not "hatin'" that's for kids and white dudes that want to sound cool. I'm not a hater, I just don't like his ass.

I like how people talk about good Hip Hop dying as if it doesn't happen to every other genre.

 

Jay is alright, but he's not on my top 5. Not even my top 10. Rakim, KRS-1, Mos Def, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Common, Pos, Sadat X, Fashion aka Al Tariq, Big Pun, I could go on...

 

I guess preference is just that preference but as far as word play and being able to make some deep tracks and make a hot diss record and make some banging party joints Jay wins hands down for me but if your criteria is different than I can see how you guys disagree.

 

Wow Lupe Fiasco and BOB? I'll give you Em Nas and TI. All in my top five along with Jada.

 

Jay can most definitely flow, no doubt about it. I think I'm just partial to those oldheads because I'm old! LOL
