I asked you that because you didn't have any details on it and I was curious. It seemed like a vague description.

All of the others were clear about exact names so I knew exactly what they were talking about.

    It's not that deep. :D

    Just checkin:)
I never had any intention to be specific:cool:. This is just the areas we came up with after researching it. I have some digging to do to find specifics..... WE picked 10 companies per portfolio originally and then, my mother dropped some and added others as we went along based on performance.

I have a neighbor who is a day trader - that all he does, and he has done fantastic! I'm so jealous and wish I had that knowledge. One day I will - once I'm done with climbing the corporate ladder/rat race - but for the moment I love what I do in general although I feel a bit of a burn-out as I need to feel challenged and after almost six years dong this - I need refreshment. Getting more knowledge in investments is high on my list - all my team-mates are paying people to manage their money and I have not done that. Perhaps I should.

That is awesome! I am looking to do that full time in the near future. I would like to meet him and pick his brain apart if he didn't mind. I'm sure he has a wealth of knowledge that I could learn. I love the idea of trading and it excites me the more I learn about it.

I hope you're able to learn more in the future about it as well. Not just day trading, but investing in general. It is priceless knowledge.

He is a fantastically weird dude, but by all means, I can hook you up.
He is judgmental as all hell though. Dude don't like that I date black men - and still he is exclusively dating Asian women - hypocrite.

Absolutely! I would love to hear what he has to say about day trading. I really want to be successful at it!

Hmm..I guess it will be okay as long as I'm discussing strictly business with him?

    That is odd. :smt017

I told ya he is weird - I haven't called him on his hypocritical bs. I'm sure you will be fine. You are just discussing business.
Let me contact him for you.

Remember, all I have is what he told me and I know he is not having a regular job and owns a house and two cars so what he say must be party true, at the very least least. Haven't talked to him for a while since he is taking a distance due to me dating black men.......

Never daytrade man, that is for fools who watch as their money is taken.

It's high risk so you might head to vegas as well.

Yeah, I'm aware of what happened during he the tech crash. I plan on daytrading in addition to long term holding. Longs will be my brea and butter and daytrading will be my side dish.

you should consider swing trading that is better than daytrading. It's when you hold stock long/short for sometime , let's say weeks or months, if you hold stock less than year and a day and you make gains UNCLE SAM wants almost have of your gains, are you aware of that ? but hold it year and two days and you only pay 15% in taxes....

:D sorry for the diap it was jk

Then why does he give a shit who you date. Btw to keep the thread on track my investment in BP hit around 300 percent yesterday. Gotta love disaster investing lol

Because he is judgmental against black men. His stereotyping is never ending and he thinks ww should not date bm. Just the regular old shit.
He dates Asian women exclusively by his own admission, all I see at his house is Asian women.

You are sufficiently fortified to boot that creature in the nether-regions, for he's not the brightest star in the sky, but he shines at one thing - hypocrisy.

Lol my bad one too many zeros, but BP is a great investment. I'm looking for an angle on this Japan earthquake thing too. What kind of medicine and relief effort are they desperate for?

    Likewise.

Hmm.. not sure yet but will post as soon as I find more information on that.

I'm still really liking the number from Molycorp (MCP) right now. Since I first posted them in this thread, they've jumped almost 20% since Friday. Outstanding numbers, I must say. JP Morgan has them projected to hit $90 a share which would be a ~30% from their current price of $71.16.

I'm looking to secure a short term position in that stock for the time being.

  20. Do any of you guys buy invest into small-cap companies???
