Golf is a great sport to play. It's entertainment value can be lacking, but I will be glued to my massive HDTV on Sunday for The Masters as usual. It's one of my favorite sporting events of the year. Also, I couldn't give a damn whether Tiger Woods wins or not. He does make it more entertaining when he's in contention but I hate how golf tries to market itself through 1 single person at a time and a possible rival. There are 98 men who tee off Thursday morning and they all have the exact same chances to win. It was great when that unknown dude Zach Johnson won in 2007, or Angel Cabrera two years ago in 2009. THOSE were great Sundays to watch The Masters. Also, I have no care in the world if a private club like Augusta decides to have 300 members that are all white males. It's a Private club. Not to stir up an off topic arguement, but the Black Panthers aren't mandated to allow white men to join either. It works both ways. So anyone rooting for anyone other than Tiger Woods?
My BM watches/likes golf. Eeeew!!!!!!!! LoL, I think it is the most sickeningly boring thing ever. Putt putt would be fun though.
The only reason I ever watch the Masters is if this guy's on the back-9 at Augusta on Sunday afternoon. Otherwise I probably wouldn't watch it at all.
No you aren't the only one here. I have enjoyed watching and playing golf for many years. I usually take my golf clubs with me when I travel, and I have played all over the states and in several foreign countries as well. People would enjoy it more if they played the game a few times. There's nothing nicer than going to a beautiful course, enjoying the weather, meeting new people, who typically are great people at a course, and trying to duplicate that last shot that you swear was as good as one made by any pro player.
eeeWWW! is right. It is a very boring sport but its played with a great degree of difficulty. My man only watches golf when Tiger is playing. I'm like that with Tennis. It's a boring game to me and I will only watch it when Serena or Venus is playing. Those two really put the T in tennis. Tiger really put golf on the map all over again when he turned pro. I hope he wins the Masters. He's doing real well now as he is in 3rd place. In golf, that can change and before you know it, he's holding up that huge trophy.
