There are many others as well. If a model dates another celebrity its mostly because celebrities date other celebrities, period (they travel in the same circles). Its not because the model is trying to remain famous. A beautiful woman disappears from the spotlight ONLY because a)her looks fade b)she doesn't want to be a celebrity anymore or c)her attempt at a career in entertainment failed. She is not going to lose the spotlight simply because she gets a boyfriend who isn't well known.

Besides last time I checked the mags like People don't pump the ladies up when they date black guys. Kim K would have been more famous and celebrated if she whored it up with a bunch of white athletes. People magazine would have put pictures of her AND her boyfriend s on its covers if the boyfriends were white. Outside of possibly the E Channel a white woman's career is not enhanced at all or as much if the celebrity she is dating is a black dude. If Kate Upton decided to date John Mayer it would be bigger news on the tabloid front than if she is dating Kanye West.

And I must point out again that at 18 Upton has already accomplished more than most of the ladies you mentioned in your post. She has the trifecta going including being the new face of Guess Jeans. Obviously the people controlling the strings in the fashion industry don't think she is getting "lost in the sauce" and that is what counts.

 

Au contraire. It ain't like that anymore. As a matter of fact, Kim K and Reggie have appeared in many mainstream mags when they were dating. She didn't get famous until her sex tape was released...with guess who??? A Black rapper -- Ray J. Also, her donkey helped make her famous...cause I the mainstream media is now obssesed with ass -- particularly, white women celebs with the donkey.

Kate will get more famous when the paparazzi takes pics of her and Kanye out and about. Also, she obviously is into hip-hop...so, there's no surprise that she would date a rapper -- particularly, one in the game with the stature of Kanye.
