And the WW (Regina) made an assumption about BM as well. So where's the difference here to make Regina racist and the BW in the vid interesting? I'll tell you, it's Regina's skin color. Ya dig?
Where is the women bashing thing coming from? Oooh, so the BW can't be a BM basher because she's black just like a woman can't be a woman basher because she's a woman? Is that what you're saying? Am I digging? I don't know. :smt100

Do you understand what a stereotype is? Stereotype doesn't mean the majority of a race, etc does this or that it just means there enough people that do it for it to get noticed. WP have the stereotype of "Can't dance". Is there some truth to it. Sure there is. I'm white and I can dance and I know plenty of WP that can, but it doesn't change the fact there is alot of wp out there dancing funny as all get out. There is a stereotype about ww whom date bm. Dress, act, etc a certain way. I'm not that way and most ww I know dating BM are not that way but it doesn't change fact there is some out there that do fit the stereotype. I know I've seen them.
I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging that their does seem to be truth in stereotypes. What I find wrong is taking them to level of prejudice. As in the example I just gave about WW with BM. I as a WW should not be assumed to the kind of women just b/c I'm a ww with a bm. That is prejudice. And that is where the wrong comes in.

    Exactly!!!! Ding Ding Ding
Brittney trust one thing. I've been on wwbm for over a year and have NEVER called anyone else a racist. No matter how bad the argument. I don't like Lippy and get into it with her all the time yet I never called her a racist. The same can be said about Chicity, Tarshi, Bookie, Tam, Unique, Kunoichi, and even you but I never took it there. So do you think its really only about RS' skin color? I'll let that one marinate.

Are you high? Stereotyping definitely means most not some. You think cops go around arresting you bm because they think some might be criminals or most?
You think they passed the law in Arizona because they think some of the Mexicans are illegals or most?

This is the kind of shit that makes me call you suspect because make dumb ass statements like this.
One more time people racism isn't always about viciousness. It can be about extreme ignorance that's holding us all back.

Marinated. I'm not familiar with Regina, but if you have other reasons for calling her that besides what you quoted her saying in this thread then I don't know anything about it, but I just don't think her earlier generalization/stereotypical comment should make her racist, just ig'nant. LoL @ Ding Ding Ding

You called me a racist simply b/c I think there is differences in culture in the US and I do not think black and whites have the exact same culture. If that makes me racist then I'm afraid to tell you most people are. I'm not worried about your crazy opinion though. First time I've ever been called a racist but I guess folks will go there when you don't agree them though. I'm not sweating it though.

Don't lie. It's not because said that the US had different cultures but because said that there were specific black and white cultures. Insisting that just simply being black or white meant you were going to act a certain way.

I don't know what back water county you come from but that's very offensive and comes off really racist.

What is the definition of racist? I was told once by prominent blk intellectual that you have to HAVE A POWER over the other individual or group and able to undermine his/her (their) position in life to be called a racist, a low life calling you a nigger it's not really racist. I wish I've asked him to elaborate. What is your definition?

    Ah!
So the BW in the vid is racist too?

I try to keep it simple:
According to the American Heritage College Dictionary, racism has two meanings. Firstly, racism is, “The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.” Secondly, racism is, “Discrimination or prejudice based on race.”

You are ignorant and you really need to educate yourself on the meaning of stereotype.

No I do not think cops go around arresting bm b/c they think most are criminals. Firstly I think they do it b/c they are racist and they like doing it. Secondly I think they do it b/c they think more bm are committing crime than say white men. That does not mean they think most are. And statistics do show this but there is bias there b/c when they go around chasing bm around their missing everyone else that goes by.

However I said a stereotype doesn't mean most but I did not say it couldn't be most. My whole point was it only takes a large group of people to make a stereotype.

Well hun guess who educated me on the truth to stereotypes. Black women. Before finding this racial discussion group I'm in I never thought much about it but the ladies made perfect sense.

Obama had to take in a lot of criticism back in 2009 when he condemned the actions of the white police officers when the black professor tried to access his home, which was near Harvard. A lot of people claimed that he was a racist for doing so. The writer of the article I'm about to post is Kelly Anderson Wright, so in a way, she's like Ann Coulter and other very conservative white females. (not implying that any WW here are like that)

You're too dumb to realize you just proved my point for me. When people think a large number of a group acts a certain way you attribute the characteristic to everyone who looks like that.
Old white women don't clutch their purse when they see because stereotypically some bm rob people they do it because they think the negro in front of them will based on just stereotyping. You don't see how that bs is damaging?
And I love your classi racist white person remark. "My black friend told me so it must be true" horseshit. Smdh

I thought this discussion was about weight, the dating habits of BM and the racial hierarchy that determine in finding a mate. How in the heck the Messiah Obama who can walk on water, heal the sick, raise the dead, feed the starved got in the convo is beyond me.
What? now he is going to pass a legislation which states America owes every BM a white super model? come on, let's get real here, the election of Obama has zero to do with IR, has not enhanced IR and wont.
