But it is interesting to see how racial hierarchy plays into it. I'm not saying people shouldn't date who they choose but there's something to be said about the fact that

1. WW who are homely or overweight seem to get better looking men of other races (more muscular with more symmetrical faces) than their white counterparts.

2. BM disproportionately seem to date less attractive women of other races in comparison to men of other races.

And before some of you get upset please realize there are universal indicators of attraction across the board. Height, skin, complextion(healthy skin not skin tone) straight white teeth, lean bodies, and health hair are indicators of attraction. Yes people can grow on you but what we visually see is our first indicator of attraction.

 

Cant disagree with anything the woman said in either video. Shes pretty much on point.

That said...Like DB stated, some folks just have taste/desires that dont coincide with the law of averages. And in those instances, it doesnt necessarily have to be a matter of "availability"

I had to laugh at this, especially at what's written in bold. Go to the celebrity IRs section or just view through picture threads on here. This disproves what you're saying. You are trying to say there are advantages for white women that are unattractive/obese against the ones that aren't. I don't see how you can debate this.

 

DB, as someone else suggested, this thread is about conversation, not bashing. So, to that extent, I'm not making value judgments on this issue. I'm looking at the science, and prevailing attitudes as I see them.

In your response you used the word "Battling", and to me this suggests that a significant number of people are aligned on both sides of the issue. Do you honestly believe that fact to be true??? I would have to disagree with you and say that I believe very very few people who see a thin(healthy) woman as less able to conceive, carry the pregnancy to term and rear a child. It's not a case of people being evolved as much as public information about the science and reality of the subject.

In fact, I would argue, conversely, that many people would see the obese woman in a negative light on this matter because of bias against overweight people in society. I don't think this attitude would be any different toward obese men. Most people would see them as ill-suited to be the best men for a husband and father as well.

Based on what you just said, you're saying I'm at an disadvantage because I don't prefer WW who are obese/overweight, yet you are implying that those kinds of WW have the advantage over everyone else.

She's pretty much on cue with everything, but is overlooking the fundamental factor of exoticness and that plays a strong role in the whole racial hierarchy and beauty argument. We do date other women, but defining attractiveness...are we basing it on society or personal? If it's personal, then beauty really holds clear, universal form. But it seems that the woman in the video is strictly adhering to societal standards as opposed to personal.

Anyway, back on the original point, exoticness is one key factor when it comes to dating other groups because they look different from what you normally see or been around for a long time. So, perhaps one person's ugly could be another person's beauty. Again, it's more to do with personal interests as opposed to what society prefers as a whole.

Ok here's the thing when I see (not television but when I'm out) overweight ww with men and they date outside of their race they tend to be attractive men. The men are usually taller and leaner than the wm I normally see with fat ww. When I see wm am or lm with outside of their race their usually slim and attractive especially wm and I have to admit the Asian thing is a stretch since many of their own women prefer wm over them.

But here's the interesting thing a lot of those men who date bigger ww wouldn't date fat bw and if they did date bw they'd have to more attractive and put together.
Not to say there aren't bm who genuinely like bbw but those kind of men don't hold a different standard for non bw than they do bw. I understand chemistry is tricky but attraction is usually universal. A lot ww who aren't attracted to bm normally would say they find LL Cool or Tyson Beckford attractive. Theres some physical aspects I love about women that were historically welcomed and arent today.

But... I think it does "vanish". Culture moves quickly and has the ability to influence young people. Otherwise, how would you account for the changes in men's taste you readily admit exists today?

In a lot of ways, the subconscious mind still has traces of our animalistic past. But when it comes to taste in physical attributes of the opposite sex, its hard to deny that modern humans are able to stray from the past.
