I think there's a lot of truth to that. I remember a few years ago at a family get-together one of my cousins brought his wife (a white woman who is, uh, well, ugly but thin) and their son. My dad's side of the family is very open and accepting given that many males have dated nearly all races of women at some point. But, I remember my uncle saying to a few older male relatives something like "Man, what is up with ____'s wife? I have no problem with her being white, that's cool, but damn, you couldn't do no better that her? The pussy must be good."

There's definitely a kernel of truth there.

Ugh. I'm going to assume you're so sleep deprived that you didn't realize what you were agreeing with since you posted this at 4am.

 

I may not like it and think it's important to keep in mind that black men are the other half of the equation here but I don't ignore truth or logic in favor of comfort. You should know that about me by now. Even if you don't agree with it it is interesting and she used logic not emotion which you know I greatly respect.

Here's my issue...

I don't agree with standards. Just because someone has a preference that's not society's flavor of the moment, does not mean they're "settling". Some people do not find skinny women as beautiful as thicker women. And many are afraid to admit it if they do because they could be ostracized. Celebrities go for what is socially revered even if it's not their cup of tea so they can continue being celebs. Ever hear of lavender marriages? If you think celebs are true to themselves as celebs, then I think you should reconsider.

You go on Craigslist, you find all sorts of posts from men looking for BBWs. But, that's the shadowy underbelly of sexuality....they shouldnt want a bigger woman, so says the tv and magazines, but they do. They seek them out. Now, this isn't true for all people, but I don't think she's being logical saying that people lower their standards just to date someone who isnt society's version of perfect.... you like what you like. GTFO with that crap.

 

Thing is people assume once a woman is fat then she dares not have a good looking man , well people do like fat women some for fetish purposes some for the real thing but bottom line is a lot of fat girls are having sex and are in steady relationships.

 

You obviously didn't watch the whole video because she did say there are those out there who geniunely like bigger women but as I've said before that's not the norm but it does appear to be the norm for a lot of bm who date ir.
Lets take celebs out of the equation even though if your theory was right about celebs just dating what society loves to boost their careers then Precious should have had her door breaking down but I've yet to hear one straight male call that mess beatiful.

I would like to focus on here correlation between those who have great societal stock like doctors lawyers and engineers men who have their pick of women rarely if ever go after obese women. In fact most men who have almost infinite options date the younger tighter bodied woman that's societal pressure it's just what men like. You want to know what a man wants to date then look at his porn there's no denying what gets your dick hard. I'm not saying there aren't people who find love outside of the paradigm I'm forming but I focus on the rule and not the exeptions.

And the inverse is equally true as she said in the video, women with high social stock don't typically date men who aren't high earners and its not social pressure but for that vast majority of you accomplishment and power gets your kooch wet there's no denying it. For every girl out there like you who doesn't care there are 20 who do. It's part of survival.

And as we've discussed before I think too often people get the terms thick and fat mixed up. J-lo is thick, currently Jennifer Hudson is thick, but someone like Monique is fat period.

I think women just have a really hard time with the fact that we love differently than you do and that's how we're wired. You guys can be charmed and someone can grow on you the same can't be said for men.

I'm not offended. I'm annoyed. There's a clear difference.

If I'm not attracted to someone, I can't be charmed. Just like if I find someone attractive and they act like a jackasses, they become far less attractive. I don't know any woman who doesn't work like that.

And doctors and lawyers have to worry about image, too...so that's why doctors and lawyers get the same type of women that celebs do. It has less to do with attraction and more to do with perceived status in my opinion. And you bring up porn.... I studied porn a bit and can tell you this....porn isn't about what you like, its about what the industry wants you to like. You look at playboy and playgirl through several years and you see men being force-fed plastic, airbrushed, blinde bimbos in their early 20s, and women were getting men of all ages, heck even with crows feet, almost no airbrushing, and a section for real men of playgirl.

You guys are so force fed beauty ideals, you actually believe you chose it. We havent evolved enough quite yet to have moved from seeing thick and big women as more fertile than thin women. That's conditioning. That's advertising. That's capitalism.

There's no denying it for the most part, and yes, there's an exception to all of her 'rules' as she stated.

Oh, this is so contradictory to the lookism thread about how charm will win women over even if you're "unattractive".

 

I'm talking in extremes. If I am so put off by someone's looks and mannerisms that I cant stand them, no amount of charm can fix that.

But, if I'm not 100% attracted to the person, say maybe 70%, but we have good rapport and all of that, charm goes a long long way.

I gotta give MF credit for posting this, though. It's creating more conversation rather than battles.

 

So then which is DB bm who for the most part date a lot of big outside their race more so than other races because they are less conditioned by outside influences or they're settling? You can't have it both ways.

And as far as porn is concerned there's a lot of asian porn thats doing big numbers and I'm not into it. Asian women don't do it for me my dick can't be fooled into what it finds hot. I also don't agree with that men are out there looking for air brushed bimbos because its not like we don't run into women in everyday life we find extremely attractive. America isn't filled with men who are just waiting around to find a carbon copy of a tv look a like, there are tons of great looking women on college campuses or in bars or bookstores they don't just exist in popular media.
And do agree we are socially conditioned to like certain things but you and many women often confuse thick or even healthy with flat out obesity. No one said you had to go for stick thin women but you guys always make extreme comparisons. Like there are only women 100lbs and below or women 200lbs + who are supposedly the real women.
I get there are women who are genetically bigger boned but for a woman who is 5'4 to be 200lbs is just unhealthy but so many women desperately try argue that shoud be the social norm.

 

Umm when did thick and fat women become more fertile than skinny women ?? which empirical evidence is there to show that? This is asinine.

 

I think it helps that the video is posted by a woman but I have to call bs on you real quick. Your mannerism account for your charm and no one is saying you'll go for an elephant man look alike or someone who treats you like garbage, but an average guy(someone who doesn't stand out) can pull girls if he's funny and personable ie charming.

I think she confused it with them being more likely to survive child birth since they normally have wider hips. Skinner girls aren't normally built for child birth.
