so social evolution is more important than religious scripture

    you heathen bastards

    :p

delve deeper if you want, it won't matter to someone that believe in their religions

I dont care if 2 homosexuals get married or get employment benefit as a couple. I am a christian but a logical one so I got no quarrel about that. What I don't get is equating their struggle with us. When a homosexual person walks out of his house noone knows that person is in a same sex relationship (unless of course you're a Flamboyant Rupaul with size 6 stiletto & a flaming hot pink t-shirt ). But if a blk man walks out of his house with a white woman all heads will turn and you're on notice. So there is no comparison, shieet, I could only count few times that I've been mistaken for Brazilian or a Puertorican, lol.

Well of course social evolution matters more since it's something we can experience and witness before our eyes. Religion is a personal, yet flawed device to reinforce reactionary measures and nothing more. All of the advancements of logical thinking relating to certain things we considered as taboo...all have been credited towards the many scientific fields. Hence why other countries actually have gay marriage laws and it has no negative effect whatsoever in any society.

You're one of the rare cases. You identify yourself as a strong Christian, yet you hold progressive views, which more or less carries more of a secular humanist view.

NOTE: Secular Humanism isn't synonymous with Atheism or non-religion.

And actually for the record, it simply depends on where you live. Conservative, more close-minded states, they'll look the other way, but still hold some resentment, but more often than not hold it in. They are still similar in many ways regardless of how you look at it, especially if two people of the same sex are expressing a sense of consensual affection.
