A Russian billionaire has paid a staggering $75 million for a mansion in Silicon Valley's Los Altos Hills. Investor Yuri Milner bought the 25,000-square-foot, 11-acre estate as a second home! It was the biggest price tag ever paid in Santa Clara County, an area known for its high-priced luxury properties. The hilltop home, which includes its own carwash, was built in 2009 and has five bedrooms, nine baths and a tennis court. The sale was seen as a sign that the market in high-end properties on the West Coast is heating up. "This valley attracts money and lifestyle. We're definitely seeing a little surge," said Michael Sibilia, president of the Santa Mercury News.
Not to mention the Russian composer who recently bought a 48 million dollar Plaza Hotel condo unit, the highest price ever paid. They seem a bit ostentatious when it comes to these kind of things.
Yep, I heard it had sweeping panoramic views of Manhattan/Central Park, etc. What I want to know is composers get paid like that, damn. Never thought they made that amount of bread.
Shit, if I was making money like that, I too would splurge on condo in NY. All I need is a 2 Million dollar condo and I'm good to go. The Plaza is very nice. As for the major money being made by composers, that's extremely rare and basically one of a kind.
five bedrooms and nine bathrooms.... uhhh, I think the architect who designed that place had a small bladder. o.o
