I'm not going to get into a debate with you about this but generally the ones who have done a lot of the content policing have been liberals but have it your way.

With respect to this issue, we should all remember Huck Finn sans the N-word is being made available in a particular edition geared towards young children and their teachers. It's not like someone has mandated the removal of the word from every future publishing of the book.

Black Americans undergoing several iterations also has to do with the affirmation of an ethnopolitical identity. The removal of the n-word from Twain is not emanating from the Black community similar to the classification African American. Most Black people seem to want the word kept in.

As far as the issue of censorship in this country, including persons who consider themselves liberal or conservative, you raise some interesting thoughts and discussion points.

I know you are not picking on Andrae, I took his comments as an innocuous reprimand of both sides based on his observation, not an attempt at a factually based argument. Is he factually incorrect that Liberals are trying to control what people say? That question does not even register with me until censorship and liberal are properly interrogated with particular incidents.

Let me be clear both sides try to censor us but in terms of speech I've noticed it from the left a little more than the right. Maybe I'm wrong but that's been my observation. The right seems more concerned with religious indoctrininzation involving coupling and reproduction.
