    I don't recall ever hearing about any of that, but I do like her poetry & I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. Honesty is important & she doesn't strike me as someone who talks out her ass which is always a good thing.

    Censoring books is very scary to me. People should be sitting down and explaining where the word comes from, and why it shouldn't be used in polite conversation, and that it was how people talked back then.

    It makes people uncomfortable because it's such a negative word, but it takes away from understanding the times if you don't have it in there.
