Book Claims Gandhi Was A Racist Bisexual!

Mahatma Gandhi Reportedly Depicted As Bisexual, Racist In New Biography

He is known as a kindly, father figure in India, but Mahatma Gandhi was also a racist bisexual who left his wife for a male Jewish bodybuilder, according to a controversial new biography.
In Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi And His Struggle With India, former New York Times executive editor Joseph Lelyveld paints a different picture of the Indian independence leader and activist. As the Wall Street Journal is reporting the book "obligingly gives readers more than enough information to discern that [Gandhi] was a sexual weirdo, a political incompetent and a fanatical faddist -- one who was often downright cruel to those around him."
Among the various charges disclosed in the book: Gandhi not only slept in beds with young women under the age of 18, but also engaged in a long-term, gay affair with German-Jewish architect and bodybuilder Hermann Kallenbach, for whom India's peace icon eventually left his wife in 1908. As the Wall Street Journal reports:

"Your portrait (the only one) stands on my mantelpiece in my bedroom," he wrote to Kallenbach. "The mantelpiece is opposite to the bed." For some ­reason, cotton wool and Vaseline were "a constant reminder" of Kallenbach, which Mr. Lelyveld believes might ­relate to the enemas Gandhi gave ­himself, although there could be other, less generous, explanations. Gandhi wrote to Kallenbach about "how completely you have taken ­possession of my body. This is slavery with a vengeance." Gandhi nicknamed himself "Upper House" and Kallenbach "Lower House," and he made Lower House promise not to "look lustfully upon any woman." The two then pledged "more love, and yet more love . . . such love as they hope the world has not yet seen."

Prior to his affair with Kallenbach, which ended in 1914, Gandhi is said to have encouraged his ­17-year-old great-niece, Manu, to be naked during her "nightly cuddles" with him, and began sleeping with her and other young women. He reportedly told a woman on one occasion: "Despite my best efforts, the organ remained aroused. It was an altogether strange and shameful experience."
As the Telegraph reports, the book also tackles both Gandhi's vanity and racist attitude, particularly toward South Africans. When he was arrested in South Africa, he is quoted as saying, "We were marched off to a prison intended for Kaffirs... We could understand not being classed with whites, but to be placed on the same level as the Natives seemed too much to put up with. Kaffirs are as a rule uncivilized."

 

It's a well known fact and old news brotha. Ghandi wasn't a "man of peace" like he's billed to be,he just didn't like the way the British treated him and his people but he was fine treating blacks that same way.

Wow seriously? I didn't know that and King use to quote him. That's sad.

 

King was ignorant to many things in the beginning,towards the end of his life he finally started to figure some things out.

I made it 30 years without knowing this wow. Then why is he praised so much for being a peaceful guy. I guess its like the mathematician John Nash from A Beautiful Mind. He was a known anti semite but was more widely know for his contributions to math.

 

Of course his activism is going to be a more prominent aspect of his bio than his racist statements. You'll find a number of famous people throughout history with racist views. Ghandi has been sanctified is the problem.

That's EXACTLY what it is and it's also what King was beginning to realize towards the end of his life.

King was on that we are the world shit at first but towards his end he was beginning to change.

Black man is at the bottom of every social and economic ladder no matter where he goes on planet earth cuz he's the most inclusive. White man is at the top of the ladder no matter where he goes on earth because he is the most exclusive.

White people are a global minority,they're less than 10% of the world's population,they have most of the world's wealth though.

Black people have a higher global population but are the poorest sons of bitches walkin this planet.

That exists for one simple fact and it's that white people have conquered the other groups of people in the world and took all the wealth for themselves.

Look at Australia,there were people there before whites but no 1 really cares about them and they don't have jack shit in their own land.

Same thing with America,American Indians don't have shit in their own land and are towards the bottom of the totem pole.

Same thing with New Zealand,colonial Africa and so on and so forth.

In the world's recent history the white man conquered a lot,so he got a lot. The black man conquered none so he doesn't have shit.

In terms of Asians,Japan's ideology that they're superior to the other Asian/Pacific Islanders made them go out and conquer. They went up in China,the Philippines and other places and bossed up. Look how rich of a nation they are,you see the pattern?

Mr Fantastic let the lesson be learned,the kinder you are,the more people will walk over you. That exists even on a small level with single individuals. However the meaner you are and the more you take,the more you'll have and the more respect you'll earn,that also exists on an Individual level.

But I remain optimistic because of one undeniable shakes the most wealthy and most powerful to their. Nothing can or will last forever. As exclusive as they want to be in can't last because the masses are beginning to wake up. A man will allow himself to beaten but so much before he stands up and despite how the world has treated us we're still here. Aids slavery and genocide has achieved in wiping out those of us who look most like original man because the creator made us strong. Through eons of whatever the world has thrown at us we've managed to survive and we will continue to do so. I don't why I believe it but I just do.

 

King has been sanctified as well, in his character and ideology. At the end of his life, the zeitgeist of Black activism was already shifting towards the so called more radical position.

Glorification of Historical Events and Figures...

This really shouldn't come to no surprise at all. Gandhi, like many other historical figures such as Washington, Darwin, Lincoln were mentioned as people who simply had an impact in history, but often ignoring the reality of their character completely.

1. It took an invitation of Frederick Douglass and some alcohol to get Lincoln to sign the Emancipation Proclamation.

2. Charles Darwin, although he made great contributions to science, still held racist views towards Africans and more so, even went as far as saying that we're not quite evolved as a species.

These are just a few examples. They all range from blunders and even misrepresented events.

It stands to reason if Ghandi wasn't treated like a Kaffir in S.Africa he would've stayed the elitist/class conscious lawyer of his youth. The leaders against injustice are not always the most moral among those who seek change.

 

Of course. Leaders in some form or another are often corrupted by the vilifying of one form of thought and choose to ignore others.
