A black family or an Interracial family?

What I meant was white people are 65%-70% or so percent of the population and among that percentage 2/3 have trace amounts of SSA (around 1-2%). Which is nothing and you are right it's 1/3 not to 2. There aren't enough Black folks in this country to get a white population that looks likes "Puertorican Whites", especially in a 100 years, especially given the admixture in AA, many of whom would not be counted as Black in Hispanic countries. You would need to include Hispanic whites in your analysis, who have a higher rate of admixture.

But this a racialist argument, and you are constantly making the assertion that there is "definable race". White people that have something else in them? Give me a break, as if there is such a thing a racial purity, going back all so called Whites have non European ancestors. The recombination of genes throughout generations has just produced a distinct phenotype, the other new world models are not applicable to the U.S given Whites outnumber Africans and Natives by a large number and if mixed at an equal rate, you would see Argentina not Brazil.

I'm concerned with race as a social construct in the U.S and I see there being a permanent Black underclass, no matter what they look like. God forbid we see the White privilege of the Hispanic/Latin American world take shape here. The more whites have been aware of their African ancestry, the more disdain they have shown towards Blacks.

Idon't count them since they don't have to be paid minimum wage or health insurance and it's not just black people it's anyone who puts that they've been convicted of a crime but it does affect bm most of all.

Whether it's because the BM was married to a WW or because they were looked at as a black family doesn't matter, because race was obviously the motivating factor in the cross burning incident. There's no point in trying to specualte on which racist notion was behind it.

I wouldn't label my family anything but family. It's not like I'd introduce someone to my husband (if I had one) or child as, 'my black husband or my biracial child' any more than I'd introduce my mother as 'my white mom'.

One thing I forgot in my analysis is that Black women in slavery conferred racial status upon their offspring. Her kids were slaves, a female child could carry a White mans seed, while a male child could only mate with Black women. Hopefully this dynamic is still not in peoples mind. (ie slave mentality)

Regina, I have said you are a racialist, this is not an insult. ( many racialist are racist/eugenicist however). I'm not one of these people who doesn't believe in so called racial difference, it's just that biodiversity is so great, that racial classification is untenable. None of these racial classifications are transhistorical, either in name, genotype or phenotype. Which is why unending preservation of a particular phenotype or culture is nonsensical, whether it's oceanic aborigines (who have what is thought of as a distinctive phenotype) or pygmies around the world, none of these people/cultures are guaranteed existence. Whether is through intersexual selection or a cataclysmic event, human beings will adapt, look differently and change culturally.

The same author wrote "The Senator and the Socialite", which has to be the most comprehensive book on Blanche Kelso Bruce and his wife Josephine. I first came across her in a book called "Aristocrats of Color: The Black Elite, 1880-1920". Damn was she fine. It's strange though, because even though she was practically white, she was still considered black.

hell, they tried to kill tiger when he called himself "whatever" so he wouldnt count off his mom. they said he is black fuck his korean mom and he wouldnt bend..I dont blame him.

remember BM are on the bottom of the totem pole and it has been for the last 40 years. anything happen bad in america it is the bm fault. that is why the rise in mental cases among BM. That is why WW and BM can relate so well.
Dont forget the one drop rule. as bill stated something like "the one drop rule dont make sense. If 15 white people were haviong a party and a black guy show up it becomes a black party and now they have to change the music style."

Some blacks consider biracial children to be black…the “new” black. Thirty years from now this will be the case most definitely as both black women and men continue to accelerate in marrying and dating outside of their race. Even some whites consider biracial people to be black…note President Obama who is biracial…not black. Even some biracial people go for black. People like Halle Berry consider themselves black. Charles Barkley refers to his 2 children as black…not biracial. I think the reason why most of those black women consider this to be a black family is because the makeup of it is mostly black in their mind. Is it right? No, but welcome to America. It is what it is. Sad that we have to deal with color politics, but that’s life.

Don't let it tick you off. Things have labels...just put your own name on your own label and go with what's in "your" jar. Don't let others label you...Tiger Woods doesn't.:D

Well, do you not think that this is a good thing? I mean you sound like you are worried somewhat about this. I believe that this is a good thing. I will tell you why in two words...global warming. Melanin in a white person's skin would be a godsend. No one is better suited for literally saving the white race from total obliteration as the black man and black woman. Mixing with them will give our race a much better chance of longevity on earth...feel me?.;)
