I think the racists have been more blatant in their play since President Obama got into office. The first few months were a honeymoon and as an interracial couple we got smiles at the same palce we had gotten the stares. Now assholes feel free to serve a side order of hate talk with the stares. It is terrible

i watched mississippi burning again last week and again the ignorance, hatefulness, stupidity and injustice had me in tears and i thought to myself, at least things have changed and they can only improve as time goes on. obviously i was wrong. what the hell is wrong with people?

A burning cross that shit is so 1950's Klu Klux Klown rallies. These dumb mofos aren't even original. What would one expect from cowards though.

People like this better go steal a lot of crosses because Cali has one of the highest black male-white female relationships, so unless they plan to poke their own eyes out too bad for these insufferable bigots because interracial is all around them in the wider environment. Shit isn't going away. :D

Glad to see the rapid response in the community and might reveal these gutless cowards as true pariahs.

Just look at the politicians and the lack of respect by so called leaders.

Some folks seem incapable of controlling their behavior and are revealing their true selves.

I've noticed every time Obama says one thing, the Republicans say the opposite, it doesn't even matter the subject matter.

If Obama said feed the children of the world, they would say we don't have enough food to do that.

That's true, California has a high ratio of interracial relationships, especially of the BM/WW coupling. With the high number of couplings comes a high level of outside resentment. I think of it almost as a mathematical proportion, and the whole thing is like two forces that crash together. So, I'm just going to say this. California has a high, rising number of BM/WW IRs, but also a rising number of hate groups. The environment isn't necessarily getting better there because of the outside forces that act upon all of the interracial stuff.

We know. 2012 is looking to be another difficult year, in terms of race relations also. The whole year is based about Obama's re-election, and the guy's race and authenticity of even being President of the country will be challenged by Republicans and other conservatives.

It is very sad. but all we can do is live our lives and do what we do. i will fight hate where i see in and be in people's faces when needed, but ultimately for all we knwo, life is one shot, and I don't want to waste it on assinine people who have nothing better to do than focus on the race of the man I love

    Yeah, any race, pretty much.

To elaborate on what I said earlier, according to the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) California has 68 hate groups, which is unfortunate.

GQ, I'd like for you to take a look at:
    http://www.npr.org/2011/02/23/133970226/new-report-higher-hate-group-count-than-ever

    http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/hate-map

If you click the "Stand Strong Against Hate" link on the second website, you could see comments and reports that people make about things that happen within their own state.

Just so they can give themselves a victim complex and bitch in useless futility at something they can have no impact on.
