    LOL, well said bro.

Isn't it a well known fact that many African Americans are mixed with Caucasian or Native American.

Its just the old racist system in the U.S. either typecast people as white = good, black = bad, employing dumb down racial categories for purposes of division and separation.

African Americans come in many tones, hell Africans do as well and I'm not even talking about North Africans but Sub-Saharan Africa.

Surely we can't forget how many of those white slave owners had their way with black women. How do we think all the light skinned blacks exist, they weren't bleaching that's for sure. :)

I so agree with the Hispanic point as well, there are Hispanics with mostly African ancestry or mostly White ancestry or mostly Native Amerindian ancestry or a mixture of those to varying degrees. Hispanic implies more of a culture than any racial type.

If you go to Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, etc. you will see people who look black, white, native Indian or a combination, its just that they speak Spanish and that is their culture, same applies in Brazil with Portuguese being spoken instead.

    Vey very true.

Its what Americans have told themselves over and over again dude and so they believe it

A lot of "Black Americans" dont look like "Black" people on the African continent at all

America invented this whole if you have a mix of "black" you are "black" thing

So it is purely an American invention

Some African societies also have quite distinct looks just like a "white" person would

the term "black" is not very defined at all in the US. Everybody can be "black"

Africans come in all shades and colours and thats true if you include the White North Africans

otherwise that statement is not true at all

So what do you consider them?

I would actually consider a good number of these people white. Just take a look at the couples with children thread. Some of those kids are white and even some people who are considered black in America are whites to a lot of people in Africa easily

Eg Nicole Richie, Mariah Carey etc

If people like that are "black" it makes one wonder actually what the term "black" means anyways since it does not signify even similar physical appearance or culture or language or history or experiences etc

There is no reason why there shouldn't be multi-racial white people. There are plenty of them currently so I usually identify such people as white

But why deny them of their Black heritage? There is a gray area in America with mixed people, cause they're not one thing more than the other, although they might look it, but we have the one drop rule theory here.

How can they be multi-racial when you just called them White. White would signify one race, not a multitude of races.
