But Islam can't be reformed. Don't expect any changes anytime soon.

You can say that about all religions. The texts are merely there and they cannot change, but the people who belong to these institutions can change or reform the beliefs and texts overall. Whether by disregarding certain rules or changing the interpretations, changes have been considered and made. This is true because there are liberal Islamic movements, but they are fairly drowned by the noise of ultraconservative nonsense.

He was 52 years old and she was 9 years old when they got married. The Islamic source materials state that Aisha was 9 when they consummated their marriage. Islam allows Muslim husbands to engage in sex with their child brides. Even today Muslim men marry child brides.

Take for example this photo of Muslim men in a mass wedding of child brides.

And another with details below from a report.

Palestinians participate in a mass wedding of hundreds of Palestinians in the town of Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza Strip, Thursday, July 30, 2009. Over 400 couples were married on Thursday in Beit Lahiya in a ceremony sponsored by Hamas.

In Islam there is no seperation between church and state.

Under Islamic law, people are not all equal.

A non-Muslim in an Islamic state could never become the president.

Léopold Senghor(Roman Catholic), president of Senegal 1960-1980. Senegal's population now - 90% islam and 10% christian. Senegal's Islam population at the time he ruled - 95% of its population.

Tariq Aziz, Iraq's former deputy prime minister, although not a head-of-state, was very influential official in an islamic nation, and yes, he was a christian.

Most people in Senegal practice Sufi Islam not the real Islam practiced by oppressive Islamic states. Those are only a few exceptions most Islamic countries are intolerant of non-Muslims and there are Islamic laws that prove that.

Define "real" Islam? Sufism is basically Arabic pagan beliefs mixed with Islamic teachings. They are all branches of Islam, be it Wahabi, Sunni, Shi'a, and others no matter the discrepancies.
