The victim role means $$$ Especially if you're the victim of one of us no good BM. Look at Tina Turner. She told the world about Ike's abuse(which he denied) but was quiet as a roach when that rich white boy broke a chair over her back. It's easy to believe 6'2 Lawrence Fishburn as Ike slapping poor Tina around in the movies....but in reality...Ike was a TINY drug addict that couldn't slap Tina around on his best day...much less all coked-up. Of all the women Ike's been involved with....Tina is the ONLY one that claimed abuse.
I heard other shit like she was fucking around alot on the dude. I didnt here about the other guy whipping that ass. Women can get free counsel for divorce issues where men cant. women can whimper abuse or not getting child support they will get court appointed atty. but if a man get abused or getting denied access to the kids he have to pay for an atty
Agreed. I certainly don't feel sorry for him. Stupid ass. Look at him...eww. He bought this all on himself. Like Carl Gray use to say at the end of each of his local news broadcast..."If you don't want to make the news, just don't do it."
Chris Brown has brought that heat on himself. I'm not saying that some of the reaction isn't racially motivated. I mean Charlie Sheen has a well documented history of spousal abuse and abuse against women in general. I mean he shot one of his former fiances in the arm for fuck's sake. But the guy can go on Jimmy Kimmel throw out a few t-shirts and people can't stop throwing him love. And I'm willing to bet Mel Gibson makes a come-back. I've seen ALOT of white people cheering him on. Whites can be very quick to forgive their own. Forgiving minorities?? Not so much. But one thing that Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson have that Chris Brown doesn't are famous family members, a long history in the movie industry and with the public at large, and being white you can always get a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th chance. Actually being white in the US you have to damn near kill someone to be unforgiven by the general public for pretty much anything. But I'm afraid Chris Brown is not as famous as he is for for his music career but for beating on Rihanna. Who to me is, and at the time of the beating still was, much more well known than Chris Brown. I can understand wanting to move past the Rihanna thing, but if that's how he reacts when he gets upset or things don't go his way, then the guy obviously has some serious anger issues. He certainly isn't helping himself move past anything because obviously he hasn't. Not acting like that. And this thing he has where he wants to blame everyone else for provoking him into his own behavior??? Ya that's not going to win him over with anyone. Being publicly known as a woman beater isn't just something that 'goes away' in two years time. He's going to be dealing with this for the rest of his life. Whether people think that's fair or not is another discussion entirely but the sooner he accepts that and the sooner he accepts he has anger issues I think the better off he will be. But this "It's been two years! People need to let it go!!" thing he's on? He needs to drop that.
I've said it once and I will say it again. When you are at rock bottom, there is no where to go but up. That's my comment about charlie sheen. Also, the media is ugly. They will drag things out for as long as they can. Look at the Paris Hilton going to prison. That's not fucking news. Why the fuck was it even given a second let alone dominating the headlines? I realize by talking about it I am bringing it up but I needed an example.
He shouldn't accept it because just accepting unequal and unfair treatment just because he's black is horseshit. He has every right to call hollywood out on their hypocrisy. If he doesn't who will?
he had the best opportunity to get pass the whole thing and he blew it. he could have destroyed a hotel room or his own crib or something but damn. now that morning show and robin roberts came up on the ratings
that's not right to make light of...maybe the others were too scared to talk....remember out of all of them she is the only superstar......with the white man, maybe she did talk, but nobody cares when it's a white person just look at charlie sheen. and ike being a druggy has nothing to do with it. abuse is about power. remember tina, real name anna may, was a country girl and that a rock star ike discovered. it's no different than puffy and cassie, russel and kimora or hugh hefner and his hoes. anyone who lets themselves get abused isn't the mentally strongest.....just something to think about.
you have to remember, this is all they talk about(the incident), they won't let the guy forget, i notice they love to do things like this to black ppl, its just like with serena and the us open incident.....they never say anything about the white celebrities/ppl who do stuff like this all-time. i'm not condoning it but still....
They have different fan bases too. Chris Brown's image was pretty squeaky clean, cater to teeny bop little girls kind of guy. Now their parents are all like we aren't buying his records for our kids. If people won't buy his stuff and he can't bring in money to his company, he'll get no support. Sales of his new record will probably tell whether he's gonna survive bad publicity or not.
C'mon...NOBODY was scared of Ike...a 5'6 132lb drug addict. He had no "power" over anybody. If he was an abuser somebody else would have chimed-in....but they didn't...and sure as hell wasn't because they were scared too. He always denied abusing Tina and I believe him. WHY IS HER WORD BETTER THAN HIS ANYWAY??? Tina was hardly a dumb country girl when Ike "discovered" her....she was in the joint for prostitution and would have STILL been a street hooker if Ike didn't bail her out and put her ass to work. He could have made anybody his Tina.
The guy is a scrub and definitely an idiot for breakin a freakin window overlooking Times Square. That could of hurt a bunch of people. Hopefully he gets in more trouble for it. Oh and his music sucks too
I would agree with you if it weren't for Two and a half men being a family show. Yeah the Uncle on the show is some type of ladies man but he wasn't snorting coke and beating women. But I guess Chris Brown's music being marketed to teen girls does hurt his sales. Well I guess he'll be another throw away R&B singer like Tevin Cambell or Bobby Valentino.
To me there's nothing unfair about his treatment. Unequal? Yes. Unfair? No. If he wants to call hollywood out on their hypocrisy that's one thing. But the way he goes about doing it? Flying into rages and throwing temper tantrums? No one is on this guy's side now.
