well racism is actually still out there ya know, and I am sure many black women have been in contact with it.. so it's not that weird if a bw is a little bit suspicious towards a white woman.. I just know I get pissed when my cousin dates girls I don't like #controlfreak
You still didn't highlight what perspectives she noted that were important to take note of. Was it the notion that white women are indeed threatened by gorgeous black women who date white men, that white women are out of style and exotic women are where its at, that the black men that like white women are not the black women type anyway, black men and white women somehow aren't affectionate in public unlike the showoff white women and black men that kiss in front of her or is it that black men still holla at black women behind the back of white women. What did she put forth that was so noteworthy and purposeful. She stated a lot of tripe befitting of someone who is not comfortable in her own skin. She talks about how beautiful she is and yet seem to have an axe to grind and a point to prove about white women in contrast to black women as though she was in a personal competition. Since seemingly most of the women here deal with black men, I think she has some misplaced perspective, seeing that she dates white men primarily so what is it to the women on here, get the drift now. She is uncomfortable about something, if she is an ex model and dates white guys then what is the issue exactly, she sure didn't fail to mention numerous times how hot she was. White women are threatened by black women, black women are threatened by white women, White women are threatened by Asian women, women are threatened by women, men are threatened by men. What does this all mean to the individual person.
I actually reread the whole thing.. haha and I guess I did read it a lil sloppy the first time.. I don't think most women are threatened by anyone, at least I hope that's not the case However I still think respect is the bottom line, and respect to everyone even the ones I happen to disagree with. If she thinks white women are threatened by bw I and I go off when someone says things like that to me I actually co-sign with that I always want be calm when I talk to someone to give that person the chance to be calm too... going around acting like an uncivilized loon has never helped me, and believe me I have done that too.. lol For me, racist isn't something static, it's a phase... now if I start getting all upset and angry I will only show them they are right about me as a ww being disrespectful.. and don't get me wrong, if I have listened to someone giving them respect and a chance to express their feelings and they still are being stupid Id not accept it, thing is it has never happened to me
And how would that be any different from a black male in America, with a history of slavery, Jim Crow Laws during segregation, lynchings, anti-interracial marriage laws, even today a prison system loaded with black males, the stereotypes that accompany being a black man in America that you walk, talk and look a certain way as the prototype thug, gangsta, rapper, saggin pants, drug dealing criminal element. I had college professors comment about "you're a very well spoken young man" its almost as though as a black male that somehow surprises them, because I never heard those sentiments echoed to non-black students in my interactions. I've been pulled over on the New York state highway when driving down from college on a couple of occasions with friends. Generally because being a young black male traveling with other black males in a car on the highway and they associate that with drug running activities. Little things like those you encounter as a black man trying to lift yourself up, but I know my makeup and value system as a man. I wasn't even born in America and yet have experienced little things that shine a bright light on the issue of race. I feel strongly about these things because I look at people as individuals because stereotypes are for the ignorant and short sighted. Skin color, gender, etc, doesn't begin to touch the surface of who the real person is.
yes and it is awful.. but it wud be stupid not to think these kinds of things wudn't lead to some kind of consequences.. Myself I have to fight my own prejudice towards men everyday, even tho I know all men do not go around beat up women on a daily basis, Im still surprised if a dude doesn't, I just know from my own experience it's easier to get past them if a dude is calm even tho Im trippin just sayin
Well you are either one of the mildest personalities around or have a really strong tolerance level. I just find it hard to respect people that are full of themselves and she came off as someone with her head firmly up her anal orifice, how many times did she comment on her beauty and felt the need to state how not all black women are "Precious aka Gabourey Sidibe" To me a woman's temperament is more important than her looks, if the attitude and mindset is funky, I'm outta there. I don't do bad attitudes, don't care how they look, a relationship can't survive that, looks fade.
haha well mild is not the word to describe me.. but I have gotten more and more tolerable (is that a word?) over the years.. I used to be sooo easily aggravated but I just realized it wasn't getting me nowhere, except for the principles room lol Well I just wudn't be so fast to judge someone.. it takes more than just one post for me, most peopel have bad and good sides.. and I do think if u jst give em the chance the good sides will weigh more than the bad ofc personality is the most important, and Im not asking u to marry the girl.. haha clearly she has many options already + sorry to break it fpr u she only dates white dudes. lol
If you saw my previous posts on this subject it would read that I believe everyone should keep their hands to themselves. I'm one guy that won't spend my time arguing with a woman in a relationship. I'll let her have her say and I'll step out of the environment to cool down. Going back and forth with a woman in a relationship doesn't accomplish anything. The strong feelings and convictions I have about individual behavior and accountability extends into that element of life as well.
yuuuh but at the same time Im very scizzo.. haha I don't wan't him to be yelling at me.. but if he don't Id get mad and go like "I matter that little u can't even be mad with me" #psychoooobitch lol
Any woman that has to talk up her beauty is not a woman I would want to be around, it is frankly nauseating and reflects a princess attitude, something I find a huge turnoff. Give me an intelligent woman any day of the week that knows about the world, has a good moral compass, a world traveler and opens up herself to new experiences and doesn't make things about her looks. Any points that center around the superficial qualities of a person overlooks the depth of a meaningful relationship. An airhead woman is a turnoff to this brotha, give me smart, worldly, intelligent, sophisticated and cultured women only please, or those women that at least strive for those qualities in life.
LOL, don't you think that would make him pack his bags and head right through the door, that would freak a dude out that he is trying to stay calm and even that is a point of contention.
i work with women like it, its very annoyin, we work in a busy supermarket, not a club they aint gonna be pickin up men on the shop floor lool
haha I have to confess I always say out loud "Im beautiful" before I walk out the door in the morning, doesn't mean I think others are ugly tho and I don't think there aremany airheads.. Ithink they chose to be that way.. I hate stupid women tho, they are bad ambassadors for our gender, haha I feel they are making me look bad
I certainly one of those women making men say "women are freaking impossible to please, are they even human?"
To me it is so much more sexier when a woman knows she is beautiful, can take a compliment about it and then be humble and let it go. It shows she has beauty and a personality to match, that is a potent combination and is so much more appealing. I'll deal with an average looking woman with an even keeled personality and mindset over a beauty with a hideously, hyper bitchy persona.
I literally think some are truly airheads. There was this girl I was friends with at my university and she sadly fit the stereotype of the blonde airhead. It got so bad listening to her talk absolute foolishness that whenever she came and knocked on my college dorm room door I would look through the hole and see its her and refuse to open the door. I just couldn't take it, talking to her was like watching paint dry. Every time I saw her it was like "oh god not her"
haha yes u are actually true.. I just remember a "friend" I used to have.. she was DUMB,, just really stupid, was almost impossible to talk to her.. I ditched her after a while.. she was a genuine airhead, only come across one tho, maybe Im just lucky
