yes, it would be good to get a 360 degree POV. at the sametime you have to be careful in who you get your info from and where space are they coming from. In other words what is their agenda and or motivation
Naaah, I will listen to anybody no matter where they are coming from, it doesn't mean I will agree with anybody or let them change my mind.. but i think it is important to listen to others, why would they listen to me otherwise.. i mean if I don't listen to a black woman's complaints then why wud she be wanting to listen to mine?
and actually if she is talking bout her feelings I have no right to disagree.. cus I have no rights telling someone else how she feels or how she shud be feeling.. punto final
yeah. at the sametime you want them to also look at the reality versus the feelings and so they will not make unfounded judgements.....for example: Black men who date white women are weak because they cant handle a strong black woman. ----- I have heard those statements. Thats when I go into the logical/reality discussion
but that's not a feeling tho.. and I still don't think it's very smart to just say "you are wrong" at least I have never ever been able to convince anyone their wrong that way
A feeling is like, when u say that I feel ... when u say that Or: I don't appreciate u saying that.. now, to say someone else is weak is a statement and therefore it can be questioned
it's all a matter of how u deal with em... prejudice is often just a consequence of fear of the unknown.. in my experience racists are just scared of something they don't know so if u manage to keep calm and force them to think logical they often realize they might have some rethinking to do
no doubt. BW (I believe) are fearing the fact that they maybe alone in the later years when they blew off good men that WW scooped up. as a podcast show host may say " the sistas need to up their game and maybe they will get a good man" WW just keep doing what you do . LOL
actually i dont think that's the case.. I think they know there will be enough men for them too.. I think it is a response to how they have been treated by whites in the past.. And I think they are mad cus bm are alligned with the enemy, so if ww women want respect from bw we have to respect them first
yes respect but I think it goes both ways and besides ww married bm soon after slavery was over with...IE Fredrick douglas. BW were married to WM after slavery. It is an old and worn out thing. Its time they got over it because IR was here before and it will be here long time from now
Im not saying I am the enemy, I am saying I think many bw still look at me like that I saw a documentary from an african country (don't remember which) a white woman worked there with orphans and she was to work with a black man and he said he couldn't trust any white person first because of his experiences with whites.. but after a while he cud let his guard down cause he saw she was a good person... all Im saying if someone doesn't like me I can either start a fight.. or I can keep my head up and behave a way I can be proud of, I donät have to give them a reason to not like me bu acting like a bitch
ofc I think it shud be accepted.. Im just saying, what can I do to help the situation, I just don't think pointing fingers is the way... and actually i have never met a bw who doesn't want me to date bm
Okay, thanks for clarifying. BW really shouldn't have to pit themselves against WW (fighting them) over the fact that a BM dates a WW. Usually the people who that think lowly of themselves or others would be the first to start things up.
I hope you dont meet em either. I have met a few tho. There is nothing you can do to help the situation except do the right thing. You can control feelings of other people. just be the good you
