You go to the 14th floor and drop an egg.
If it breaks you have 13 more drops to test floors 1 to 13.
If it doesn't break you go to the 27th (14 + 13) and drop
the first egg again. If it breaks you have 12 drops left
to test the 12 floors above 14 and below 27. You continue
up the building until you reach the 99th floor
(14+13+12+11+10+9+8+7+6+5+4) with three drops left. If it
breaks you have three drops left to test the three floors
between the 95th floor and the 99th floor.

Flip two switches to the on position and wait a few minutes. Then turn one of those switches off and go directly to the room with the lights. The light that is on is obviously connected to the switch that you left in the on position. The other two lights are off, however the one that you turned on for a while will still be warm and the one that you never turned on will be cool.

These are good guesses. The egg one is right I think but you did it the opposite way.

The egg problem is close to the way you do it but you would get screwed because you are not making up for it .

    For example
If the first egg breaks at 13. then where do you go?
What happens if the lowest floor is the second floor but you tested the second egg on the 5th floor? you run out of eggs.

yea it is co-op. and now you know why most people who get degrees in science and engineering don't go to the education world to be a teacher. You don't get paid much for the work you do. I sat with one of the interviewers and he said something close to that. You have to get your degree and run into the real world.
