I grew up and hung around a lot of pretty Black girls back in the day and they were the ones who got all the attention from BM. Rightfully so cause they're Black AND pretty. These girls were what we called Light Skinned and Long Hair girls. Not to say that dark skinned women aren't pretty, but these girls I knew growing up were the ones who got all the attention.

I think some WW and I use the word SOME with much emphasis - do have a White privilege mindset whether they're aware of it or not and can't understand why they're not the center of attention. With that being said and on the flip side, I think SOME BW think since they're Black, are entitled to a BMs attention solely cause he IS Black and feel that's her mate so she has a right to him first and period.

I do think a lot of women are insecure regardless of whatever the race another woman is, especially if she's pretty. Like this girl said, the pretty girl is seen as a threat. Then when you throw race into it, people have more leverage to use with their argument when it comes to possession. There's a "HE'S MINE" type of attitude. So any woman who isn't the same race as her mate and the outside woman who's the same race as him is beautiful, the girlfriend, if she's insecure can and will feel threatened and the outside woman will feel empowered cause the same race guy is checking her out (or if he isn't), she feels like she got the other woman where it hurts so-to-speak cause it bothers her.

I guess for me, since I'm not interested in WM, I don't care who they date and don't feel threatened by any race of woman, cause I could give two shits. I don't feel he's my possession just cause we share the same skin tone. I welcome and support them dating IR, cause I am.

Like you Andrae, I do feel a lot of BM, would rather a mixed, exotic or any of those in between women. (That sounded very ignorant, but you get my drift). We've heard this many times where men will say they love a Latina (more so PR/Dominican), cause they have hair like a WW and a body of a sista. In addition to my first paragraph and adding to this one, in my 20s, I had a few pretty Asian friends who also got a lot of attention from BM, cause they were seen as exotic.

Some dudes find beauty in different areas, but to the OP, you're Black and pretty as you say, so of course BM will find you attractive. Most men love a beautiful woman regardless of what race she is.

I think since the bottom line is insecurity, one has to be secure with herself and find a guy who likes her for her and who doesn't have a roving eye and feel he can have possession over his race of woman, yet he's with another race.
