I agree totally. So often people forget that while we do enjoy freedom of speech, with such comes responsibility. Unfortunately, some are very irresponsible with this wonderful freedom and wanna act all surprised while exclaiming this worn out line..."Don't shoot the messenger". Messengers should be responsible in "how" they bring the message. A message with a solution is more feasible than one that "glorifies" the problem by adding fuel to the fire.
ted hayes is a well- paid fool.....i love how like the white conservatives he must mention jesse and al every two seconds like he gets a dollar for each mention.
i strongly disagree i think he was babbling, talking nonsense. defending glenn beck? beck is a known racist.....he has nothing in common with mlk. mlk defended the poor, was anti-war , anti-corporate power, none of which you can say about beck. to me he sounds like the typical black conservative apologizing for white supremacy, being the token black covering for white racists.
Nonetheless, he made some very valid points concerning the behavior of some so called black leaders, such as Jesse Jackson and others. They too often seek to demonize white people. I totally agree with Ted. White people should be able to honor King's memory just as blacks do. That is not a black thing. Now about Glen Beck, I don't like him either, but the point Ted was making is that you don't have to be black to honor King. Jesse and the others are nothing but money mongers that go around demonizing white all the time.:smt021 Yeah, I said it.
75% of Aflac's business is in Japan. 1 in 4 homes there are insured by them. Go and nationally insult your job's #1 client (in distress no less) and see if you keep yours. Consider that Aflac is about to face its biggest claims avalanche probably in its history. Katrina saw insurance companies bail on policy holders. I can imagine the stress right now going on at Aflac's Corporate headquarters. Gilbert who??
but who says they can't? to me it's not about celebrating a day, anyone can grandstand like beck, but it's about those striving to make progress everyday. this guy is a phony, who later went on a immigrant rant....to me these black conservatives are nothing more tthan house negros........the funny thing is jesse has been with more working class whites than ted and glenn combined. imo to celebrate a man, you have to celebrate a legacy. neither ted nor glenn know anything about it.
Good point! However, if the policy owners did not have flood insurance, this will be Aflac's reason for not paying. Even though the earthquake hit first, they will argue that the flood did damage for which they are not bound by policy to pay.
To tell the truth, I am in no position to judge Ted because until I had seen this video, I had never heard of him. I simply stated that he made some valid points in THIS video. Despite what manner of man he may or may not be, I still believe he made some valid points in this video. He appears to me, to be a man of mature insight and I stand by that assumption.
Who in their right mind living on an island in the Pacific that's partial to monthly earthquakes and threats of consecutive tsunamis, wouldn't have flood insurance.
Many in New Orleans didn't have it. Bottomline, if they (speaking of Japan now) all had flood insurance, Aflac's goose is cooked. The question should be...what insurance company would sell flood insurance to people living on an island in the Pacific that's partial to monthly earthquakes and threats of consecutive tsunamis? They literally set themselves up for financial disaster.
Cool. BTW, welcome to the forum. I hope you hang out here often. As for me, I am going nighty night. Enjoyed our discussions.
