Check this out. Harper Hill makes a great point at 2:40. It'll knock you off your seat. Sorry about the bw but I think this is a universal lesson.

I'm definitely concerned about what the BW is saying around the 4 minute mark of the video. She states that dateable men would change so much and won't be the same when you are 30, 40 or 50 years old. I disagree with that kind of rationale, because she's saying that it's okay if you always break up with a person then seek out someone else continuously.

You need a consistent, long-term marriage to guarantee the utmost success, not continuous breakups from your significant other, because I think that doesn't make sense. It's a shame she thinks of relationships this way.

Even though I like WW and women of other races, you have to think, would American BW simply feel left out in the future, and what can be done if a high percentage of them are single relative to every other race? It's a bit fearful to think about, but clearly something is wrong with this and it's only within America.

Real talk-when Harper talks about dating a potential on the 2nd vid & discuss the Obamas, he is a little off.
Dude, that aint potential, that is the final product. Bama was a Harvard graduate not just a graduate BUT a law school graduate (supposedly in the top 5-10 % of his class). He was a light skin brother, which was a big deal to sisters especially in the 90's & he aint no Denzel but the dude is not a bad looking guy. So that aint potential. Potential to me is someone who lives in impoverished community, not yet in law school but in Pre-law, an aspiring artist who shacks up on his buddy's couch, whose got financial issues, etc... and the woman seeing a potential in him and giving the brother a break, supporting him and being his back bone to his success, that is dating a potential, an already lawyer, not so much!

Fair enough but most women wouldn't be patient enough to let the lawyer rise in the ranks before spending time with him and remember homeboy had a car with a hole in it and had law school loans to pay off. Michelle probably didn't go out to nice dinners and nice vacations until year five of their relationship. But you are right there isn't much gamble involved when it comes to a harvard law grad who graduated in the top 10 percent and I didn't even think about the whole biracial aspect that carries major currency in the black community.

WoW...very good video. These type of videos are more productive than the "go get yourself a white man" type videos. With so many black women being single, it is now one of the most intriguing subjects for the media to embark on money wise. The thing that concerns me most are the things that are sometimes said that puts a damper on black men period.

the other thing about it all is when you listen to them ( I seen this before) they come off as materialistic and attention whores when they were young and found out when they hit that 30+ age they were all that. now they are blaming men for their bad decisions and thats all women not just black. BW are just on national TV carping and spending their time being captious

yeah, he is a big dude. the thing is they are quick to say there are no good men (black, white whatever) but they also need to concentrate on their faults and make themselves better (not try to be perfect but better)

Great to hear, but don't spill your drink over it.

I co-sign with you on this.

This applies to the women who would fail at handling relationships correctly. They won't place any blame on themselves for their failures, they would blame it on someone else. Those kinds of women you are referencing are the ones who are self-centered and selfish.

Yes, that was a powerful comeback line. She tickled me when she alluded that they can get together now. She should have known better than to go there. She's not even in his league now...it's too late...potential not realized...opportunity came once...opportunity now gone...forever.;)

He is so so gorgeous...so fine.

    this is some damn garbage

sherri shepherd is an ignorant fool, but that being said i always find these shows as grandstanding garbage, that comes off as a condescending lecture. the problem is ppl in all relationships, white, purple, black and green, forget 2 important things: life and death. everything else doesn't matter. to me shows like nightline and channels ike cnn, love to promote the black ppl are broken shows and are the cause of all of their problems, like slavery and jim crow never happened. and they have these black fools bojangling insteadof talking about real issues....it's ann coulter writes the script.

So true. Even though this show seemed to be more productive than some of the other junk I've seen, I'm like you. The media gets a kick out of this. I wish BW wouldn't come on TV with whinings such as these because it does nothing to help the situation by complaining about black men. They really need to get over it. The media doesn't give a damn...they just want the ratings from your misery. This is a form of media entertainment that I find very unfair and damning to many black men here in America.
