:D I've never had an issue with German, picked it up very easily. I'm very good at the guttural pronounciations. French has it too with the "r"

I practiced speaking by watching a lot of the German News streamed online from like RTL, Deutsche Welle, Taggeschau and from Switzerland - Television Suisse Romande (tsr.ch)

That's the thing I love about European cultures, the multilingualism that they grow up on in many countries from an early age.

I hate math, never did well in it and don't like it at all. I can sit here and learn Icelandic like no one's business but put me in front of some trigonometry and I struggle with it big time. Math is my scholastic weakness by far.

Hope you are feeling healthier by the time you are ready to go on Wednesday. :)

    LOL, whiks.

Its all about familiarity, once you see the words individually, becomes a piece of cake to put together.

For me, it wasn't that I so much had trouble as I hate the sound of German. I can't take it. LOL It's awful, I know. I want to learn Hungarian though. When I was in Budapest i fell in love with the language and wished it wasn't so damn hard to learn. Lol Hungarians actually take pride in how difficult their language is to learn.

I've always had a love affair with Europe. My first time there was when I was 12 and I knew I would come back every chance I got! This trip is something like my 8th time overseas. I'd probably move there if I could.

And thanks. So far I'm getting worse... I'm starting to get to the point where my clothes hurt touching my skin. That is not good. I would rather be in bed with some chicken soup right now!

Yeah I've heard people say that about Hungarian as you also mentioned.

Hungarian and Finnish are actually related to the same language family, Uralic. Funny how the Hungarians (Magyars) ended up in the center of Europe far away from their original origins. They sure were a nomadic lot. :D

You sound pretty under the weather, must be that notorious Buffalo winter. :)

You're a trooper though, you'll battle through and feel better. :smt008

Yeah, Hungarian is no picnic. It is an awesome place, though. I spent ten days there and felt like I could spend forever. :)

I read up on a lot of history of Hungary and Budapest in particular before we went over there. The city is rich with it. Budapest is also called the Paris of Eastern Europe, and it absolutely is! I have some pics on Facebook that I should post. I was just showing them to someone not long ago- I miss it there.

Meh, Buffalo weather isn't so much the problem as the rapid, back-breaking schedule I've been keeping. I've had my show, work, and school wrapping up to contend with, and I haven't had any down time, really. I took NyQuil last night and I feel a little better this morning, so I'm hoping I fought it off with my cold-eez and drugs. *fingers crossed*

Definitely have heard those sentiments expressed a lot on the Travel shows when they go to Budapest, very beautiful city indeed. Sounds like you really enjoyed it.

I see, a regular busy body, yeah can zap you of any energy when under the weather. Well at least you can acknowledge feeling a little better so you might be coming around, as you said *fingers crossed* :smt008

I love snuggling with him in the morning, smelling his neck, kissing his skin softly. I love his arms around me as I fall asleep. I love his emotional support when I've had a rough day. I love seeing him when he comes home from work each day. I love how he makes me chase him in the morning to get the "see yah later skater" kiss. lol Once I stood by the door and pretended to cry when he didn't kiss me. He laughed and rushed right back for a big smooch. :smt057
